This is awesome. Finally, a Panoramic!!! About 5 years ago a neighbor wanted to borrow one of my amps to back up his accordian amp for a wedding gig. I knew he played of course but never saw him play. When i went to see what would work, i saw he had a vintage pan O Ramic, screw on legs and all. He borrowed my Peavey TransTube Studio Pro 112 but thankfully didn't need it. I've always wondered how that amp would sound with a Strat type axe. Never got the chance. RIP, Dan C.

good 'un .... as an owner of a 50s 213, with a miraculously survived original speaker, whose never played a better sounding amp, I'd like to too!

"Panaramic" on amp, "Panoramic" in title of this video; typo on the amp or creative decision on the spelling? If it's the latter, please explain. Thx.

I've heard nothing but great things about these amps, but I've also heard that they're very expensive. It all comes down to how many thousands of dollars you wanna pay for a little better sound. If you have the extra money this is the amp.

I don't know why more amp companies don't feature bypassable master volumes.

There's a LOT of stuff at NAMM. Staggering videos in this way gives PG content for months.

his nose is showing the wear of 37 years on the road. holy gin blossoms. great amp for people with the cash. great gear is no longer prohibitively expensive. too much emphasis on sound differences that only a person with perect pitch could notice. play more worry less.

guitar players are suffering from the same thing that ruined harleys- people with too much cash and little talent or substance. nobody needs an amp that costs as much as a good used car.

You seem to be unaware of how much gear used to cost. The vibrolux was, in today's money (in 1968), $2,348.

So another capitalist buys an old name and makes another copy. I had an original...not such a good amp. Time for all these posers and fakes to make something original and stop being a useless copy so they can con you out of more money. Despicable and disgusting! Neil Young is an idiot...look up pono. He has as much technical skills as my dog. "We started from scratch..." and 'used the name to rip you off because you are stupid...!' It is a con job 'look', so they admit they have no integrity. Time to puke!

Hi Dogpa. We didn't have to buy the name, it was dorment. Just had to have some legalities formalized. There's not too much that's the same as the old original unit's. We kept the cool features & made them way better than the old ones. I mean a tube amp is old technology right, so anyone who is making a tube amp is reinventing the wheel. So having said that, I think it comes down to a certain type of player or artist that's feels the response of the amp or the "touch" sensitivity that tube amps have that is more rare in a solid state amp. So to spend more to get a "little bit better" sound is worth it to some players that can afford it. They are expensive but it's all done by 4 people here in St Louis. Not sure why some get up set that a guy has a vision for 20 years & a dream to build high quality guitar amps here in the US. I know well the motivations of the company, I build them, of course who doesn't want a good job they love right? Making money is great too, I hope everyone makes money & finds what it is they love to do. But for us here at Magnatone, you can claim to know our motivations & say we are horrible people, but if you came on down to ol St Lou & checked out the facility & met us, you might have a different prespective. And as far as capitalist, well, if you don't like them, then you must burn your cloths, your car, your smart phone, your TV, your computer because you gave money in exchange for those items. So unless your willing to start your own company or business & make your own things, you are a capitalist. Best to you

TheDogpa Respectfully, I couldn't disagree with you more about the new Magnatone. I can't speak about the old 60s amps having never heard one in person or played through one. I will say, in my opinion having researched extensively modern boutique amp companies, these ups are superb and they don't have an amp in the entire line up that is fluff. Their stuff rocks and their quality is well worth the price. Play through one and you will, if you have the extra loot, fork it over quickly. I love the Varsity reverb by the way. A great little 15 watt amp with power to burn. I agree with you. There are a few companies out there ripping people off for what they charge. These guys however, are not one of them.

Lots of guys keep trying to make money on amps and they cannot. You can try B.A.D. in Calif., but it is a dead industry. If it is a good amp, and I never said it wasn't, then give it a new name. The use of the old name and look is pure marketing. That people find it an acceptable way to act is not OK, IMO. In their own words, "not too much that's the same"! So buy the name "Jaws" and make a movie about a dog that climbs mountains on 3 legs. Call it "Jaws 37" The idea is a con, no matter how good of a movie it is, and that is the blindness of capitalism that is the disease here.
