NAMM 2019 | Sandberg Booster w/ Holger Stonjek 

Holger & the luthier artisans are crafting, in my opinion, the best guitars out today... Sticking with a low number of highly skilled craftsmen & women (about 20) that hand build these beautiful guitar's in Germany... They have taken on with the greatest respect of what has gone before & replecating it but also infusing & injecting their new take on classics gone by... I bought a Sandberg California TM4 Bass Guitar a few years back & I can say in all honesty in the 26 plus years of playing bass guitar (as my go to instrument) that I've never owned a bass guitar quite like it.. As it felt as if the team at Sandberg had hand built a bass guitar purely for me & you'll find this throughout all their lead & bass guitar ranges... I've owned many top end & mid range bass guitars from the classic Fender Precision/Jazz & it's modern updated versions to a MusicMan Stingray's/Warwick range again German built models/Aria Pro II SB100 the Matsumoku made in Japan & not the reissues/Cort/Yamaha/Squier/JD Supernatural Series/Status/Schecter/Spector/Steinberg/Horner & Höfner/Lakland/Raven West/ESP/Sterling range/Moon & Ibanez Guitars & though all amazing bass guitars that have their own sounds with pluses & minuses I've never bought a bass guitar from a local guitar store or online that felt just as if it was built sonically & physically in a way that best suited me... It was like Sandberg had sat me down, had a personal one to one conversation of what i'd like & then built me my own custom bass guitar yet this is their standard on all their guitars & that is the highest praise I can give them... They were also very understanding & down to earth when I contacted them via email to thank them for building such quality hand built bass guitars & they were genuinely happy for me & invited me in the ongoing Sandberg ever expanding family & this is something big mass produced companies have forgotten about & though they build guitars of great quality also they are almost unattainable to chat with unless you were ordering a Custom Built Instrument from them yet at Sandberg i have found, for me anyway, that their build quality is second to none yet they have absolutely no hint of distancing themselves from those who buy their instruments & are very down to earth/humble & frankly nice people... I regretted trading in my Sandberg California TM4 because at the time I was needing to go in a different direction hence a change in brands but I've always said I'll buy one back & tomorrow is that day when I take hold of 2 Sandbergs, one the Sandberg Calfornia TM4 & the Sandberg Basic TM4 which is a variation on the California TM4... Don't take my word for it & go into your nearest guitar store that stocks them & you'll soon realize the truth behind my own story... To Holga & All The Staff at Sandberg Guitars in Germany I can't Thank You enough for putting that individual handheld personal touch to everyone of your quality built guitar's...
