Thank you Dave for continuing reinventing the wheel. I like we have 2 vco and a digital osc. That's different. You can come up with some crazy patches with that. Thanks Dave for coming back to the synth world
@@aaronoh4272 we're talking about the third digital oscillator which the mopho x4 doesn't have but the prologue and minologue xd do have and now the pro 3 copied that idea from korg.
but what to choose.. re release of MS20? Arp2600...Poly D and now this...sigh...i can live without any kidneys... i know i can if i try hard enough ??? :) PS Dave smith is the best...what a genius :)
Am I the only one that would prefer a desktop version? Still, I guess I'd take regular over the SE, if a keyboard version is my only choice. As above, my keyboard 2/3 tiers are tilted and dusting behind the hinged area would become another chore. Still, they both look nice, but I'll give it a year or so to see if a desktop is possible :)
I was thinking the same thing for some reason. It just seems more modern, all my synths have wood though haha..So do I really want to break the chain... Sub37 has been my always and forever, but this guy will be a great brother
Divinital I haven’t gotten it yet. My preorder is still a few weeks out unfortunately but I hope to have it soon! The Summit looks lovely as well. Hope you’re enjoying it!. Definitely gonna be getting the Pro3 and WaveState this year as well.
McEnroe911 They could make a killer new Prophet by following some of the steps they took with this bad boy (CV ins and outs, complex sequencer, hybrid oscillators etc.)
McEnroe911 I doubt it, as it would be priced around the same as their Prophet X. They already see the Prophet X/XL as their flagship poly and replacement for the Prophet 12. I like that there more differences between this and the Prophet X, compared to the Pro 2 and Prophet 12 that preceded them.
Is that Carson demoing? That sounds like his style. He can take synths places I never thought possible. His demos of the Tempest are still some of the best synth playing I've ever heard.
The most interesting new mono synth I have seen in a while. I want one....but my budget. I wish Dave had a way to directly pay him per month interest free. :P
@@420gravy4 If "sound was all", people would just use plug-ins. The physical interactions and aesthetic of the instruments is part of why folks spend money on their instruments.
@@420gravy4 But hey, kudos to you if you're okay with spending $2000 on something where a design decision was made to use cheaper looking knobs, than spend the extra 'x'-cents per unit to make something a tad bit more aesthetically pleasing.
@@prospectnyc I prefer the newer knobs on the standard version of the Pro 3. They are more sturdy (using the new pots) and suit the colour of the panel better.
Loading up your own waves tables, wow, this is would be my go to synth for every track I make when I get it. I will be working extra hours to get this synth.
Great synth but using the cheap mopho knobs is sacrilege. They'll sell you the pro 2 knob "upgrade" for 100 bucks. The first thing I did was to change the knobs on my mono evolver to the prophet ones... World of difference
I own the P6 (my only Sequential/DSI synth) and will also be getting the Pro 3 (standard/regular version). Very different synths from what I have heard so far.
Loved creating and hearing some of my factory presets in the demo for this beast of an instrument. But favorite part about this video......ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TzCf3iPgAGU.html
Dear Dave, since you don’t see and care about my comments, I’ll wait for you to one day release a Tetra Mrk 2 with two VCOs and a third multi engine OSC with FX desktop version 🤗
Totally agree with your statement, they do sound the same but I think it's a personal liking. I have a DSi mopho and Moog sub phatty and they compliment each other beautifully 👍
I haven’t heard 1 demo yet with a synth that demonstrates sounds I can use in an actual song, unless you do techno. I just want it to enhance a song, not be the song.
Very very problematic firmware with CRACKLES and POPS and no midi with Local Control in Ableton. My first and last sequential. I’ll return it for sure!!! SORRY BUT MOOG IS THE KING I LOVE MORE MY SUBSEQUENT 37 NOW. Bye sequential get lost.
