NAMM 2020 - Roland JUPITER-X LIVE Performance - using the iArpeggio 

I got one of these recently. I'd describe it as a very "deep" synthesizer. I keep discovering new things about it every time I play it. It's truly capable of making an overwhelming amount of tones and sounds, all of which are incredibly high fidelity. If I had any criticism it would be that the layout of the synth isn't very intuitive. There's quite a bit of menu diving in order to do a lot of the operations, but overall the synth is definitely worth it. Between the Jupiter X and my new Prophet 5 I've got a whole world of synth tones available to me.

I love Scott's videos. I'll never forget his Jupiter-80 demo years ago. I bought one because of it. I'll be getting the Jupiter-X as well. I've also owned a real Jupiter-8. This sounds just as good, and you won't have to tune it every few minutes.

I'm not surprised the demo is good.... Scott did the single best performance video of the Jupiter-80 that I've ever seen several years ago for Kraft Music, one I've watched numerous times since! Nice job, Scott, and I look forward to future Jupiter-X videos!

Roland killing it with the design on Fantom and Jupiter X.

I know that this video of a live performance is 2 years old (already?), but this has pushed me to the very edge of getting a Jupiter X (to about 99%). Being a stickler for details (I own a few real analog synths, Minimoog D, Prophet REV2, Oberheim OB6, Deepmind 12, VC240) I want to hear it for myself in person to see if it meets my expectations. I've been burned by VAs before in the past.(Alesis Ion, Korg MS2000, Roland JP8080, Novation Nova) which all had a major flaw: they lack high-frequency content (all limited to about 8-12 kilohertz frequency response). The Minimoog and OB6 produce harmonics as high as 22 kilohertz. Unfortunately, RU-vid audio compression limits the quality of the audio, hence the need for me to hear it in person. Thanks for this superb performance.

Scott, because of your video here I've just ordered a Jupiter X. - hope I can figure it out and that it's not too difficult to figure out in terms of tech. I'm used to acoustic piano, but I do produce electronically as well. However - not at all a tech geek, so even though I do understand synthesizers and have one already, I'm not patient enough for figuring out how to make them work and find the sounds I like to play. But I've aalways wanted a Jupiter 8 because of its sounds, and I use Jupiter 8 in soft synths. So I'm taking a leap of faith and hope I can make composing more fun and inspiring with this cult synth and use it to record its cool audio into Ableton. Love this video. Thanks!

Does the Jupiter X have patches from the Roland JX10, please?

I like that its "new age" but for a synth that is 80s based i find the scenes to be interesting and not in a good way..as well as not reminicent whatsoever of the 80s or 90s. its fun to play but i really wish the scenes were more generated to 80s/retrowave and not futuristic bleeps and bloops. i dont know anyone that would listen to the music created by the scenes that were programmed into it as well as the I-ARPs

Is it too much to have Jupiter-X and Fantom together? I’m getting my Jupiter-X next month.

What’s the difference between this and the Jupiter 80? Does it have any synth leads and brass!? That’s all I want to know

I don't like arpeggiators, but I don't have to use it if i don't like it. I like the synthesizer though. The aesthetics and build are good, which is a rarity these days. And thanks goodness, no cheesy touchscreen.

bit underwhelming to be honest roland are in trouble if this is their best offering for 2020 a lot of trouble nothing cutting edge about it except its yet another nostaligia product with every synth roland ever made crammed into one sound wise for 2000 quid i would have expected somerthing more cutting edge they make a thing about iargpeggio but i'll be honest my 150 quid yamaha play a long thing does same thing and can have a band that adapts to what your playing whats groundbreaking about rolands play along thing is fact its 2 big ones for the pleasure rather then 150 quid yet another flop from roland in a long line of recent flops

Piano,sax ,brass,panflute,etc...???? Clasic . ..??? Zero....????
