Awesome 😎 It appears that the turn out is not as much as it was pre COVID-19.... I like seeing the carbon fiber as well as the IYV and Leo Jamz guitars & the Guitar 🎸🎶 Max skit... Cheers 🍻 🥃🥃 🎸 🎵🎶
Thanks for the coverage. The green Fesley FST400M and the blue and purple FDK800s look nice. IYV also had a number of beautiful and interesting models. I hope they ship them to Amazon again. The handcrafted Saito guitar was mesmerizing. The composite Rough (?) guitars were interesting. I'd like to learn more about them. Looking forward to all of these becoming available. What a cool show.
Good to see the budget brands switching to roasted maple necks. Price of production is the same as regular necks but you get greater stability against temperature and humidity. And they smell wonderful!
I got a beautiful Leo Jaymz quilt maple Strat neck off Amazon for $50. It was perfect right out of the box. Definitely like the Leo Alnico 5 and will probably get one. Never been a fan of active pickups. I normally go with a Strat body guitar but have been thinking about adding a dinky. Not really a fan of shredder necks either although I can play one if needed.
Thanks for covering some lesser known brands that are actually good. I own an IYV PRS style semihollow, a Leo Jaymz Les Paul, and an Enya Nova Go. All of them absolute bangers. Waiting for my 8 string headless IYV to be shipped!
Hey, Mr. Shredder! Your views carry a lot of weight. I think I know how you feel about anything more than one volume control, or a pickup in the middle position. I might even agree to a certain extent. But I’m planning to buy one of your company’s guitars, so I’d like to pitch some thoughts I have. When I use an unfamiliar pedal, amp, board, and even guitar, I like finding that sound-in-context that works best with that new configuration. That unknown factor always adds to the gig or studio experience because it’s almost never simple or predictable. I’m the most confident when I see pairs of Volume and Tone pots along with a 5-way blade, and HSH pickups. But even without being thrown a curve like that, sometimes the recorded tracks take an unexpected turn and call for a change in plans. And live gigs oblige me to duplicate the dynamics in recorded material. So it may be a personal preference, but I’m really fond of pots and pickups. I’ve been in some tight spots, and flexibility never made things worse. Just sayin…. Thanks for hearing me out. I appreciate it.
I know some people are not into stainless frets but, when Leo J comes out with stainless it will cause a significant ripple through the guitar industry.
Thanks for the video Rich. I was saying no more guitars for me this year but after looking at some of those Leo Jaymz's guitars, I may be tempted again. 😥
Just subscribed. I thought I already was. I love your videos and attitude. Keep up the great work. And yes I love me a thin neck. I'm thinking about getting a Volgoa TN2. The specs are great. Have you done a review of that model?
@@thebaldshredder There's already a lot of bias among the consumers when it comes to lower priced gear or Asian made stuff. The whole "you get what you pay for" thing is not as true as it once was and it was never completely true in the first place. The people reporting from NAMM tend to stick with the bigger, more recognizable brands which makes it harder than it should be for lesser known companies to get their names out there. There are smaller American companies that are just as hurt by the bias of name recognition which sucks because it's not cheap to get a booth at NAMM. For RU-vidrs or people from other media to walk past a booth like that is a disservice to their followers/readers. They could be missing something truly game changing because of whatever bias they have.
Thanks. I just used my cell phone and a very cheap plug in lapel mic. You can hear, it's not great sound quality. I didn't feel like carrying around my nice camera. Next year I probably won't do interviews.
Yes I know. I was using my cell phone, and it is super loud in the convention center. Next year I won't record any sound. Maybe just pictures and no video.
