I hope in the next film he'll have this forgotten power. In the comics Namor had this which wasn't expanded on, so he didn't lose it, it was forgotten. Namor was like DC's Vixen in mimicking the powers of animals but was limited to only marine life.

I personally don't think so since Namor was rather scary perhaps not as much as other villains but enough to know that he means business. And the story overall is about grief and anger which is a story that can be hard to write. Was the writing perfect, oh hell no it had a lot of flaws but it could have been worst. Shuri was shown to be a pretty flawed and broken character and makes MISTAKES! Plus....Namor almost freaking kill everyone man 😂

I don't know why ppl don't realize that he didn't want to kill Shuri and was avoiding it. If he went in with fire from the start she would be dead. But he didn't want to fight her and its only when she read really trying to kill him did he really really fight. And even he pinned her to the rock, he didn't finish her off for sure. It was still a wound she could come back from. He wasn't weak. He was just soft on Shuri. I'm sure when he fights real villains he would be a beast. Especially since no one but Shuri knows his weakness.

A weakness is still a weakness. It can still be exploited: Namor is strong and powerful in his own way, but here in the MCU, and even in the comics…. He’s not entirely invincible.

I don't think it would have been so easy since people would compare the new actor to T'Challa and that personally sounds like a total nightmare to deal with. I like that he died with the character that had to aspire so many black people and their communities. What other choice did they have other than make a loss story, since if they didn't it would have made them look disrespectful. I like Shuri as a character since I understand the heavy burden of having to reach out to a person who is just better at you and how to cope with the loss that we're completely in or out of your control. Does it have a lot of flaws, oh hell yes but at the end of the day it was a movie that I would most likely watch again compare to Captain Marvel or Eternals.😄

Daniel Scott it would have been better to recast him, but I don't want to hear anyone say that nonsense coz before this movie came out like 95 percent of the fan base was crying and complaining every time someone even remotely suggested recasting T'Challa. This fan base does NOT have the right to complain about Marvel not replacing Chadwick. Not the same people who was threatening a revolt if he recasted.
