One resident at a nursing home in Keswick is getting mobile again after she received a brand new piece of walking equipment.
Nan Hicks is eighty-eight years old and had been being supported for five years by occupational therapists and physiotherapists and had been struggling with walking with a zimmer frame due to arthritis.
Her team got in touch with the local branch of Remap, a charity that aims to assist the independence of disabled people and they designed a brand new walking aid just for her.
