Bro aint no way this was a debate that anyone asked for nanami already practically lost a 4v1 with a weaker curse, was this just to make nanami fans more sad
A little side note not that it changes anything but 80% to 120% isn’t a 40% increase, it’s a 50% increase. His base form is at 80% because of the vow. Adding another 40% of his base on top of the 80% he has is an effective 50% increase in power from his base form.
@@joshua4987 let's assume his full power is 1000 at 80% his power is 800 at 120% his power is 1200 Now, 800 + 400 (400 is 50% of 800) = 1200, therefore he got a 50% power increase
Math is fun lol Reminds me of my job. I took a lead position for a 10% increase of my base pay. Then when I stepped down a couple years later the HR lady subtracted 10% from my pay thus taking 11% of my pay away causing me to be making 1% less then what I'd have been making if I'd have never taken the position in the first place. When I realized this and went to the HR department and explained this to her she said "I'm so confused. My daughter's the math wizz in the family" 😅.
If you are not a special grade sorcerer, you are 100% losing to any of the disaster curses. Dagon who is the weakest disaster went 1 v 3 against 3 grade 1 sorcerers including the "fastest sorcerer apart from gojo". Even against Hanami, I think yuji and Todo do better than they should have. Hanami's goal there was to be a distraction for mahito to get sukuna's fingers. So, it would be stupid of him to go all out and kill yuji and todo even though he could. Nanami isn't that good 1v1 which is funny because I think his technique would be busted if someone like yuta somehow copied it.
@@TreeGGwiI mean, Dagon was getting absolutely rolled before he used his domain, so I’d say Yuji and Todo(who has beaten a special curse before) doing so well against Hanami when she doesn’t use hers is reasonable. Especially with Yuji’s black flashes.
Hanami has gotta be the Sasori of JJK, I can’t even remotely imagine Nanami handling getting wombo combo’d by perfectly in synch Yuji and Todo, taking multiple black flashes, and even then Hanami would’ve won upper mid difficulty with domain expansion had Gojo not intervened. Gege says directly that Hanami is only weaker than Jogo due to a elemental type advantage while Jogo was stated to be in a different league to Dagon who was handling Nanami, Maki, and Naobito (and I get that he’s super fast, but how hard does he even hit? Dagon was eating his punches over and over again)
@@char1363 Not true, Jogo wasn't evolving at all thats nowhere even near stated 😭 Hanami was actually evolving more, its stated by Mahito that she wasn't even in TUNE with her TRUE self until the VERY END of her fight against Goodwill Todo/Yuji, and as soon as she LOCKED IN it was UP for both of them. Gojo had to save the day like he does EVERY day.... anyway Hanami's FIRST fight after beginning to understand herself was against Gojo, obviously there was room to grow.
@@oilalalabla9211 True. I feel as if people forget that the disaster curses are legit top tier special grades. Megumi beat a finger bearer but would get folded by any disaster curse. Todo straight up beat one despite being weaker than hanami
they were beating her, they did a ton of damage against her and didn't even get hit once, the only issue would be domain expansion but Todo has simple domain to avoid the insta hit, the question is if Yuji would survive and he does have mc plot armor soo....
@@captnbluehathe like the jogo of the sorcerers. he mad strong but just gets put up against some of the strongest guys in the show being the disaster curses. bro is one of the strongest grade 1 sorcerers but just has to fight 3 of the 4 disaster curses back to back to back
Let's imagine his power is 100. What's 80% of 100? 80. What's 120% of 100? 120. 80 + x = 120 x is his power boost. x = 40 His boost, 40, is half his original output, 80, hence his overtime mode is 1.5x as strong as his normal output.
just a bit of correction, hanami wasnt able to expand her domain after the beating she got from yuji and todo. she had to suck the life out of literally the entire forest they were in just to be able to expand her domain
Well, since Geto abandoned jujutsu high without learning DE, one could think he only focused in increasing his strenght by consuming more cursed spirits, since he had new responsabilities he didnt grow so much as a curse user and lacked any situation that challenged him at the right level to develop his domain
Fr how does f*cking miya know simple domain but everbody was shocked when gojo used it,or why doesn't everybody just learn simple domain and new shadow style?
@@Kwick777well he had a maximum technique with probably enough potency to break the barrier of any domain minus IV with how much spirits(also one of them could've had a domain) he had so he never has to worry about a lethal attack plus had an emergency option if stuck in a domain by attacking the barrier.
I don’t think people realize how strong the disaster curses are, maybe it’s cuz they got taken out so quickly in the story but power creep hardly exists in JJK. Hanami was probably the weakest but he was the most durable out of any of them, we never even got to see his Domain. Dagon was making light work out of Pre Awakened Maki, Naobito, and Nanami before Toji showed up. Jogo is even stronger than Dagon, and he’s comparable to like 7-9 fingers of Sukuna, he was just very unlucky fighting two of the strongest characters in the verse. Then there’s Mahito who not as strong as Jogo had potential to be stronger because he was growing and getting stronger by the day. Mahito is easily Top 5 in potential in the verse.
I remember when Sukuna swapped with Megumi. Then people started pushing the Yuji>>Jogo agenda. I don’t see that Yuji beating Jogo it just sounds absurd. I agree about Mahito, at the rate he was going he was easily on his way to top 5 in the verse.
The disaster curses did in fact fall off. They’re only clinging to the story cuz of domain expansion and get blitzed or just dominated in general by top tiers
@@landendrakeidk yuji could probably kill jogou cuz he’s physically goated in the verse compared to most. It’s stated that if jogou took 4 black flashes and a playful cloud hit from todou like hanami did then jogou would die but he said he’d be too fast for that anyway, well yuji is wayyyy fuckin beyond his Kyoto arc level strength wise and durability wise, his speed doesn’t seem faster then jogou tho but he’d probably push through everything and try to maul jogou and tbh I think one black flash could do it if jogou could die to yuji back then from 4
@@justanotherrandom7841 "dominated by top tiers" which clearly tells u that they're strong enough to go against the top 2 even if they die after after. U really think anyone other than Gojo or Sukuna could touch them?
Gojo still was definitely holding back vs Jogo. The same Hanami that is more durable than Jogo got 2 shot by Gojo when actually trying. Idk if Jogo surviving Red is actually a feat
Gojo was definitely holding back, same man who did a mini trip to get yuji ouf the couch to watch his ass whooping personally as an extra curricular lesson
Jogo tanking Blue punches and Red is not impressive when you know Gojo was massively holding back or Jogo would have died. Gojo was very confident in killing Mahoraga with Red until Sukuna saved Mahoraga with Rabbit escape.
@@apollyon2018Because he is already so strong and gets stacked two multipliers and a durability negating ability + OP weapon and it's still not enough to beat the likes of Hanami who can just chant Domain Expansion and finish the fight
I think what Gege meant by “instantly die “ was that if jogo had received all those blows back to back he would die. We know jogo has very fast regen so he could’ve been healing from those punches from Gojo. Also, Gojo never intended on killing jogo so he could’ve absolutely been holding back 😊
40% increase? Isn't that 50% because it went from 80 to 120? A difference of 40% which is another half of the 80. (Maybe look at it like he is at 150% of his norm).
Nanami's 7:3 technique should match up well against Hanami. Hanami is only durable when you strike his main body but Nanami forcibly creates weak points like the protruding face-roots and strikes those directly.. it's not just a simple damage multiplier.. I still think it's a win for Hanami (no contest with a domain expansion) but you did Nanami dirty
@@scottstaker6818 higuruma’s a genius and was in a high risk situation so he learned it on the fly like gojo did when fighting toji, not every great iq character knows how to do it. Hakari’s a prodigy too but he can only use rct when he’s in domain mode otherwise he doesn’t know how
Yes. In theory. The problem is there's so much variance and how powerful special grade curses are. Nanami taking out the smallpox deity? Yeah, sure, most likely. Nanami vs any of the disasters who are far stronger than almost any special grades we've seen? Not likely. Also, Nanami is like the quintessential benchmark of Grade 1, not it's upper limit. So this all kinda makes sense.
@@sixfromtokyo 40 is 50% of 80. If I was traveling at 80 miles per hour and increased my speed by 50%, I would be travelling 120mph. This works the same with percentages. If I am moving 80% of 1000mph, then my speed increases to 120% of 1000mph (1200mph) I have actually increased my speed by 50% (400mph)
(i got this in the background so lmk if they said this and i just missed it) so yes yuji and nanami have same attack stats, but would nanami do more lasting damage? hanamis thing is defense, so ratio which creates a weakpoint would almost be a counter right? its health isnt the problem like with dagon, its defense, and nanami breaks defense. i mean you can punch as hard as you want but if the defense is high enough it wont do as much damage, but create a weakpoint and hit it; i believe it’s different. i still dont think he wins but i wanna hear thoughts
the thing is about Nanami giving up inside Mahito's domain, Nanami knew he was about to lose. Like, he knows when he's defeated. Even if he was burned, he could have still fought Mahito a little bit. The thing is which I give credit to Nanami, knowing when you already lost in a fight is a good thing, because you wouldn't just rushing in knowing you're already dead but be outside of the character. Nanami, honestly, has already given up fighting for the looks of it with his fights. So for him giving up in situations like these, is within his character
Quick question, unless I did my math wrong wouldn't over time give Nanami a 50% boost to his overall power? As he operates at 80% of his maximum capacity within working hours, yet when reaching overtime past 6pm his power jumps to 120%. Which means a 50% boost in his operating power but a 20% boost from his maximum ability.
i dont like the fact that we use nanami n yuji vs mahito as a cap. jujutsu sorcerer have to fight with choreography. hence why he can go from fighting in tandem with yuji all the way to characters like naobito
Nanami going from 80% power to 120% is a *_50%_* increase in power, not 40%. Say Nanami has 100 cursed energy units in base: his restricted state would have 80, and his "overtime" state would have 120. 80 plus 50% of 80 (40) equals 120, meaning a 50% increase.
I'm surprised you didn't compare Hanami's durability to Dagon's. Both recieved similar damage from Maki using playful cloud, albeit Dagon was actually in his domain. This is the same Dagon Hanami didn't believe he was doing anything against.
The problem is due to Dagon tanking Nanami's attacks it downscales Hanabi's durability because Yuji while holding back(Pre Black Flashes) could damage Hanabi where as Nanami is directly compared to Yuji in striking strength(Possibly without even using his Raito technique)
