no offense to the other actresses in this movie they were and still are all beautiful. rachel true, neve campbell, robin tunney, helen shaver, assumpta serna but there is and always has been something mysterious and otherworldly beautiful to me about fairuza balk. even her name is magical. even at the age of 11 she was fantastic.
@@stewiegriffin1864 she actually treated her friends good. She even understood why Sarah self harmed and tried to make her feel better. Sarah literally went after a man Nancy says slut shamed her, Sarah acted morally better than them when all three girls had every right to be mad at the world. Sarah is the villain
@@stewiegriffin1864 If things hadn't been so horrible for her, she wouldn't have hit the point where all of the power of Manon took her to such a crazy state. She had never had anybody she could really rely on. Her mother was an alcoholic and not really a MOM. Her stepfather was abusive and a lech. All she had was the coven, and that's why she went mad when she saw Sarah pulling away. She thought that Bonnie and Rochelle were going to leave to, and she would have NOBODY.
i mean, people like her technically arent corrupted... they're already corrupted, they're just not dangerous at that moment. it was only when she began to get power that she got dangerous. Might be a slight digression but look at politicians. They aren't dangerous until they are IN power, before that they're just corrupted people who aren't dangerous. Nancy was a loose cannon and a ticking time bomb. Can't say I blame her with her upbringing and neglect, but she was corrupted way before she got power from manon
Thinking about how it’s implied she was abused by her stepfather and how she felt that she could only be in control of things in her life is she had ultimate power with Manon
Nancy would have the most terrifying evil laugh from a female villain ever. Especially near the end. (Though I think she did laugh sinister at times) And it would be the sexiest too with Fairuza’s voice.
She already seemed kind of obsessed with receiving Manor’s power in the first place, like when Rochelle got her revenge on the racist idiot, Sarah made Chris fall in love, and Bonnie got rid of her scars, Nancy was distraught that her wish wasn’t being granted. So it just kept escalating she and got angrier and angrier until she was finally given Manon’s power and she channeled that anger very badly.
The definitely strayed away too much from the original plot, but the parallels were heartwarming and the way the concept of bisexuality is discussed is great too. I just miss these gritty, original visuals.
