a couple videos ago, this same ep, on the clip of their first fight in Alice's apartment... remember how I commented that I liked to see Ace being called out by Nance. well, in this clip, i'm glad HE is calling her out. she was wrong for this, and he has the right to be mad. asking for help (support!) in no world should ever be translated to "let us forget this happened". she was very wrong and even though her intentions were honest and raw, not wanting to see him suffer, she just made it worse.
I loved this part for the Nace tenderness that happened when she arrived at the docks and the fighting. It was so real of him because Nancy was definitely in the wrong. He just needed her there WITH HIM to comfort him!
Regardless of what we think about what the writers are doing to these characters, can we all just take a moment to reflect on the fact that she did it for him?! Like bro, she also admitted in that episode that she still has feelings for him in so many words.
I agree, seeing him so distraught would be so terrible and hard to deal with, especially if you love him that much and have gone through as much grief as Nancy has. I honestly don't know if I wouldn't have made the same choice.
I literally commented in another video that the writers wouldn’t go this direction because it wouldn’t make sense for their characters! Since when are they (at least Nancy)okay with cover-up? He wasn’t even going to get arrested This is just bad writing at this point ngtl
What stops the sin eater from manipulating the 'sin' to keep the soul mates apart, especially if he needs Nancy for something. I get the feeling there's more to this (again wishful thinking i'm sure) than we know. Wouldn't Ace have had to say the sin.. not Nancy? She wasn't even there..
@@nataliarodarte6368 Yeah, though if it *was* about the jar.. wouldn't the sin change him getting the jar to begin with? I think there's more to it.. and I think Tristan/Sin Eater/Angel Demon have something to do with it.. What a way to manipulate someone then to artificially cause a *spark* and say "we've walked this path many times before".. how can they wrap this all up in 45 minutes next week? :(
What concerns me about this clip.. (and I haven't seen the full episode of course) is that they STILL didn't mention the love curse. Do they.. really just not feel connected anymore? After episode 3.. it just feels like they got rid of the writers and brought in whole new people with no prior knowledge of the series.. :/ I also find it extremely sad that the call was indeed sin eaten.. which means she never actually said she's not happy without him in her life.. and he's not better with her in his.. I want to throw up with how upsetting these episodes have destroyed NACE.. it's like the writers took our love for these characters and stomped on it... I really hope this is all an illusion.. that it's not real.. maybe Nancy hasn't actually woken up from them breaking the curse.. and she will to Ace holding her hand. But that's wishful thinking by this point..
I mean, I wouldn't say they don't feel a connection anymore, Nancy basically admitted she hasn't moved on as well (indirectly) Ace. There must be something going on with Tristan and the dude in Tristan's mind. There is something very odd here.
@@nataliarodarte6368 True, and like all fairy tales..what's going to fix it? True loves kiss I'm sure. I have thoughts, theories.. predictions. I definately agree there's gotta be more to this.. just don't know how they will wrap it up in 45 minutes.
Some things so consider... I did clock the coat thing that @mewwolf mentioned... also this doesn't seem to be in depth at all, very rushed like it's just highlights which is odd because like someone else mentioned going from finding out what happened to deciding to erase the sin seems weird. The door does seemed to be locked on the cabin. The stove just magically burst into flames when the door fell open? Seems weird unless there's some kind of science thing I'm missing. But also the horrific-ness of the whole incident brings to mind the horror of Nancy's Temperance hallucination when she sees Ace die. This vision is almost praying upon all of Ace's fears. That he could make that choice, that he could cause an innocent to die, that Nancy could take that choice from him.... I dunno, the whole thing seems super suspish to be. But maybe it's all just wishful thinking lol 😅
Love this! It’s extremely suspicious to me too. I keep going back to the sin eater needs Nancy for something and is manipulating everything in its path to ensure she falls into its arms of her own free will.
So.. something strikes me as odd. Nancy is wearing a coat in the clip of her with Ace at the Marina.. but at Icarus Hall and at the Black Door she's not wearing it. It totally makes sense at the hall.. but why would she drive to the Yacht club and TAKE OFF HER COAT when she's in a rush? She's not caring what she is wearing when trying to protect Ace (I don't want to say love of her life.. or her person at this point because I'm sure they still don't know that at this point anymore. Her love for Ace is so strong they couldn't even *touch* each other.. she had no issues doing so here and in a time of crisis.. her love for him would be *heightened*.
Also when Ace was meeting Alice he didn’t sign the info to Thom. Maybe Thom read Ace’s lips but nothing is done (or not done) on this show by accident.
#nace I was thinking about this ep, and what came to my mind is that the call between nace inn 4x08 was after the boat scene. What surprises me is that when the sin was uncovered in this ep, the call didn't even exist. Could someone explain this missing connection?
@@flewboo It's truly soo weird like either of the situations must be a lie, right? What if the sin they witnessed through the ambyth was tampered with, and that is not what exactly happened?
Okay I haven’t watched this season but I’ve been following all these clips every week and y’all’s discussions. Does anyone else find it odd that she introduces herself when they’re already in the middle of a body of water and fishing? Like they got on the boat, left, started fishing, all without interacting with the captain? Idk I’m almost certainly reading too much into that and have no idea what it would imply, probably just weird writing, but I found it strange. Edit: okay I just read the rest of these comments and I’m not the only one who’s seeing inconsistencies lol
I’m still wondering if the sin eater still altered memories, even the supposed eaten sin ones. Too many inconsistencies and we know the sin eater can and will alter the world around the town to its own need. Nancy Drew has always been good at introducing a character name who shows up later. So I have a FF written about my theory and Alice is actually with the EMT Dale. And if Ace sees her alive is will shatter the illusion.
Okay so they called at 10:20 ish then the sin was done at 10:47. I'm assuming it takes at least 10-15 minutes to the marina from Icarus Hall. Then she talks to Ace then has to get to the yacht club. Is 27 minutes enough time to do all that?
@@flewboo if I was looking at the *real* geography of where they /filmed/ (Vancouver’s Horseshoe Bay- which is near where I actually live) then no way is there enough time to do all that. But given it’s set in story in Maine I have no idea lol.
