It's so wierd to go from one of the older games in the series to this one.Everyone suddenly uses Buffy speak and is peppy and sassy. And I think the older games actually still took place in the 40s while this one seems to be a modern setting.
I must have managed to only play games in the series that have either a past or an ambigious setting! XD Between Secret of the Old Clock, Blackmoor Manor and Message in a haunted Mansion I thought for sure that the older games took place in the past. But it's been a while and I must have misremembered. Maybe it's more the environments that game me the idea? Idk. Thanks for the info, though!
Wow, I think this might be the first time that Ned even mentions one of his chums in the game Burt and Dave, who also kind of hang out with Bess and George) but I haven't played the games after Curse of Blackmoor
I heard that there was going to be a new actor to be voice for Nancy Drew. Her voice sounds the same to me. Unless she has a twin sister that has the same voice just like hers.
If I may ask, why are some parts of the game audio cut out? Took me a while to find a no commentary playthrough, I wish I could enjoy the music more...
Quite annoyingly, RU-vid detected some sound effects (like waves) as copyrighted and I decided to remove some parts of the audio in order to get rid of those copyright claims. It's only a few seconds here and there, I hope that it's not a major inconvenience.
AdventureGameFan8 That's really weird, I wonder why other playthroughs didn't have that issue. Copyright claims are such a problem on RU-vid, I can't believe it hasn't been addressed yet :/
I assume that it is because, like you said, almost everyone talks over the gameplay, making it harder for YT to match certain parts of the game's audio with something in their database of copyrighted tracks
Quite honestly, I found out about Nancy Drew through these games (the books are popular here) and he always seemed like Nancy's boyfriend to me, every time he was a phone contact in a game.
