@@michaelmcdonough8647 No it isn't. The show runner used to work on The Vampire Diaries. And the script is from someone who worked on The Magicians. And while Larry Teng directed it, he's never directed an episode of Riverdale. It is filmed in Vancouver though, so of course it's going to look similar to Riverdale.

I can see it now... “The CW presents...Coolsville” The script literally writes itself. Here lemme write a cliche overview of the pilot! Daphne would probably have a back story of being a popular cheerleader but her rich family is hiding secrets. Daphne finds out the dark past and finds out her whole life is a lie. that sends her into a downward spiral. she’s so distraught over everything that she has a storyline of being an “it girl who fell from grace” and starts hanging with, for lack of a better term, the uncool kids. Velma would be the shy nerdy new girl in town. She has trouble connecting with people until she meets Daphne. They can relate to each other because they’ve been though a lot. With Daphne’s street smarts and Velma’s book smarts, they look into Daphne’s sketchy family life a bit more. Velma, of course, also has a crush on daphne so the CW can tease a relationship the entire season but nothing really happens. Shaggy would definitely be the “hipster dorky weirdo” of the group. Maybe Shaggy can be introduced to the mystery gang by, oh idk, Velma being a part time dog walker for Scooby, hired by Shaggy’s family. And for comic relief, Daphne thinks Velma has a crush on Shaggy. And of course the show wouldn’t be complete without an attractive 27 year old actor playing 16 year old Fred. I imagine “modern Fred” being a typical Frat boy was dating Daphne when she was popular, but after Daphne’s downward spiral, she broke things off. But over the course of the season, Fred still cares about Daphne. They become the “main ship” of the show. Y’all the script practically writes itself! Is the CW hiring? 😂

Nope. In the early 2000s I would've loved Riverdale. There aren't any shows on TV alike it, its its own unique thing and it's in its own unique lane. Y'all complain about anything and everything you possibly can instead of ignoring that TV used to fucking SUCK and look delusional on top of that and we're lucky to have the experimental and stylistic shows we have now. TV is as great as it's ever been if you're not too lazy to look for good shows or you actually watch them instead of looking for shit to nitpick for no reason.

Sabrina is originally dark bcoz it is based twisted horror comic from Archie Comics; Chilling Adventures of Sabrina TRUST ME the comic is much darker than the netflix series.. it isn't the same like Sabrina The Teenage Witch which is based from a different comic book.. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina IS NOT a reboot of Sabrina The Teenage Witch that is a noob misconception

Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina is originally dark.. its source material is a much more horror comic book by Archie Comics of the same name
