Compare the note in the archives to the clue found in Kate's case notes, notice that symbols appear twice. Overlap those symbols and line up each section in the proper sequence with each other. The black arrow to the far left is the starting point.
Firstly, try to guess the letter after ' (s, t or d), then the 2-letter words, there aren't that many possibilities. If you guessed correctly, you'll see that the 8th word is scientist's and then try to guess the other ones (cabin, computer...). I already knew the solution of course, it wasn't that easy to figure it out the first time.
You need to decode Kate's message first. You'll have to listen to her message about the Jabberwocky before you're able to do that. The decoded message instructs you to "type in caretakers at cabin computer".
