Turning Marx back from the feet to the head? Remind you that it was Marx who suggested that capital is not "just economy", but the base for the entire capitalist society in all its aspects. I don't see the benefit at all of turning the hierarchy of enabling condition and mere phenomenon around by "separating economy from polity"etc.
Wath Nancy F call Division is an other name of Alienation, wich is present in every form of social system, capitalist or communist, religious or atheist, so all those theory are wrong. The roots of Alienation go far deeper, it is an ontological problem. No system will replace courage and conscience.
Marx wrote of objective economic social structure alienation = workers objectively lost, or never had, workers control of immediate production of physical (+ service?) products, so they subjectively feel powerless.
