I wanted to make this as soon as I saw 1x17. After I got my hands on the episode, I finished this in under 5 hours, which is the fastest I've ever made a video before! I loved the twist of Ryan and Lucy being Nancy's biological parents! I'm really glad that they didn't drag the secret out over multiple episodes and I'm really excited to see where their relationship goes.
For this video, I wanted to show the connection that they had before the reveal, as well as what comes after. I'm sure I'll make some more videos with these two, but I don't know if I'll vid any other parts of the show (I wasn't planning on making any until this last episode). Feel free to suggest some songs for future vids, I would love to here them!

If I’m being honest, I didn’t see the fact that Lucy is her mom coming. Does anyone else wish Ryan had raised Nancy? I would’ve liked to see that!

I didn’t see it coming either! Kennedy said she kind of guessed it and I’m like, how? In theory, I would have loved her to have a relationship with Ryan while she was growing up. Though honestly, I think his family would have messed them both up. Maybe it would have made him give up his family though. Like they would have wanted him to give up Nancy, but he would have chosen her.

I don't think Ryan would have even chosen to become a father had Lucy lived and told him about her pregnancy. They were young, and his family put her in a very compromising situation. There was nothing for her to raise Nancy with and Ryan would not have given up his lavish lifestyle for a family he couldn't provide for. He wants to be a father to her now, because Lucy left him with something to wonder about - what they could have been, or what it would have been like to have had the baby. So I guess, it was a good thing that Lucy took away that choice from Ryan. Nancy had a chance to live, grow up into a strong-willed young woman no one can easily murder. Because now, now she isn't vulnerable and would be able to handle what it takes to be an unwanted granddaughter to the Hudson patriarch.

I agree with you. Know what we know about Ryan, I find it hard to believe that he would have taken Nancy in. He was 18 and not the nicest guy, though we know there was some sweetness underneath (they way he cared about Lucy). I think if Lucy had survived, maybe he would have eventually chose her and Nancy over his family, but it’s hard to see Ryan giving up his life of comfort at such a young age. Looking back, of course he wonders how it would have been different. While I wish that Nancy had know her birth father, I’m glad that she was raised by the Drews. I really hope we see her and Carson mead their relationship next season and that her and Ryan can get to know each other more.

@@queenofarathia. Totes. I think eventually, she'll be able to forgive both, and have two dads raising her. Though, she doesn't even need any more raising. But, yeah, she'll understand that Lucy giving her to the Drews was the best choice, the only choice really. And hopefully, Ryan accepts that. Because dude, you're old and you still have the emotional maturity of a prepubescent boy, what more if you had a baby during your teens.

I think (or at least hope) that this will help Ryan grow. He could have a cool arc. He has the most potential anyway. I that and Nancy forgiving her dads is the only bid character growth moments left.

I felt so bad for Ryan, to find out you have a kid YEARS later, and that he didn’t get the chance to raise or even know that she was his. If he hadn’t pieced everything together, she probably would of never told him that she was his daughter.

I watched this video 20 times already! It's so beautiful! I love the scenes, the colouring and even the song (i didn't like it before but after I watched this, it become one of my favourite)! I really really love Nancy&Ryan! I want more scenes with the two of them in season 2! I think that Nancy is Ryan's "wake up call" as the actor said in an interview! The show begins with him being shady and a bad guy and it ends with him heartbroken that the love of his life killed herself and has a daughter that never got to raise. And after all of this he will try his hardest to be a better version of himself so he will be worthy in her eyes. ❤❤❤❤

Thank you so much!! I totally agree with you! Nancy and Ryan building a relationship and him starting to act like a father will lead to him becoming a better person. I’m glad that he and George had it out at the end of the season so hopefully they don’t spend too much time on that in season 2 and can jump right into the new Ryan and Nancy dynamic!

@@queenofarathia. I want season 2 to focus on them and attempting to built a relationship with each other. Its not gonna be perfect, there are many issues to be solved and trust is the most important thing of all for both of them but im sure they will figure it out! Yeah, I don't really liked George and Ryan being a "couple" either and I'm so happy that the dealt with it once and for all in season 1 and kudos to the writers who didn't bury it under the rug.

@@TVDGGBitch Yeah, I'm sure it will be difficult at first, but by the end of season 2 I'm hoping that they'll be heading in a positive direction. I think George's confrontation with Ryan in the last episode gave that whole storyline closure, which is good because the CW has a tendency to drag out relationships. I'm sure that he will still try to make some sort of amends with her, but I think his main focus will be Nancy. Especially because Ryan was kind of distancing himself from his parents, Nancy will become more of his family than they are.

@@queenofarathia. I completely agree with you! I was so sure that they won't deal with it being a CW show but I was pleasantly surprised! I think that Nancy will be his only family as you say. I have this theory that the Hudsons will find out about Nancy and they will try to hurt her, like how they did with Lucy, but Ryan will find out and he will leave the family and give them hell about that. Then Carson and Nancy will understand that Ryan actually cares and really tries his best!

Ryan would have made a good father, he would have been wanted to be better then his father, be better for his own child so that they wouldn't see or treat him the way he does to his dad. Nancy would have been his everything, and while he didn't get to raise her the second he knew she became his everything

Yeah, but it was weird before we knew he was Nancy’s dad. It’s way more messed up on Ryan’s part though because he was married and she was a teenager (legal but still a teen). I can kind of understand George’s side because Ryan looks good for his age, he’s rich, etc. Though now George has dated Nancy’s dad and ex lmao. Thank you!!

I finally watched the show, season 1 and I am shocked at the revelation. I never saw this coming but I did have a theory that the reason Lucy wanted to see Ryan was because she was pregnant. Never saw the Nancy being Lucy and Ryan kid coming. I think if I watched the show every week the promo and read the comments, apparently people predicted this, it would have been less of a shock but I am glad I binged because one of the best twist of the show. Also, as much as Ryan wants to believe, he wouldn't have been a good dad to Nancy because he would have bowed to the pressure of his parents. Nancy would have been brought up by nanny's, lonely and she would not have been this strong girl. Hudson family committed murder to cover up things ect so no way would they allow the reputation to be ruined. Even if Ryan left with Nancy, he would have resented Nancy because he left the life of privilege. In the end, Ryan was just 18, a spoilt brat. He is upset with Carson but both, Ryan and Nancy will come to realise, the Drews gave Nancy the best life, a life that Lucy envisioned for her daughter. I think in season 2, they should do a episode where Nancy saw her life if Ryan knew when she was born, if she was raised as a Hudson. But I am looking forward to seeing more Ryan and Nancy bonding and I hope Nancy forgives Carson. Great video👍

Thank you! I think I suspected that Lucy was pregnant but I thought the baby would be a random new character, like Ryan would find out then hire Nancy to help him find his kid. I don't want to talk to much about they whole situation between the three of them because some stuff happens in the beginning of season 2. Episode 5 was supposed to be the finale of season 1, so it kind of resolves some of that.

@@queenofarathia. Hi, I have binged the rest of season 2 so I have caught up but I am glad I binged. It seems from the youtube comments, everyone guessed the truth. Oh, that makes sense, I thought it was such a random way to end the season 1, but it now makes sense that episode 6 should have been season 2 episode 1. I totally forget that most of the shows had to end the seasons due to corvid-19 so most of the shows didn't really get a proper season end. One thing for sure, I am liking Carson and Ryan united for the sake of Nancy. I can see them both becoming friends. Though, I did find it wierd that Nancy kept calling her dad Carson. Yes, she is upset but doesn't change that Carson loved and raised her for 19 years, hopefully she will stick with her calling him dad. But yeah, great series so far, hopefully we see more mysteries stories now.

She called him dad at the end, so I think she'll stick to that. I'll glad that Carson and Ryan talked and the Ryan admitted that he didn't want to be a dad so he couldn't really be mad about Carson "stealing" the chance from him. I think they'll get along better now. And Nancy told Ryan that she wants to give a relationship with him a chance, so that will be nice to see!

The only thing I don't get is HOW Lucy hid her pregnancy 🙆🏼‍♀️ I mean it wasn't like a known fact for the characters thst she was pregnant - they come to the idea through time and trial and it comes to them as a surprise of some sort. However Lucy should'vw been QUITE far into pregnancy to give birth and for the baby to survive such birth. So how could she hide it?! I just don't get it.

It does seem a little hard to believe. Some women really don’t get very big during their whole pregnancy. If that’s the case and she wore loose clothes, then she could hid it. My aunt’s sister hid her entire pregnancy when she was 17 and nobody knew until after she had the baby.

It’s been a week maybe since he found out about Nancy. He’s been a selfish asshole his entire life, it’s going to take a bit for him to become a better person. I think that season 1 did a good job of showing that he’s capable of genuine feelings and growth, he just hasn’t gotten there yet. But yeah, it was pretty shitty of him to treat Carson like that.
