Hi Gwen! I thought the same about how mouth and actually her jaw too and notice how Andy Williams does it too with this song and probably many more. It seems a technique trained or maybe just simply intuitive talent and a way of at poignant times doing a very subtle and beautiful wavering effect.
@@billmulvihill8452 what you mean it's clearly one of the reason she was that popular was for his father ahe did drop 2 or 3 but she wasn't near top 10 best female singer of the 60s
If you think that Nancy Sinatra is Italian, you are mistaken. In spite of her Italian name, she was born in America and is an American citizen. Also her father, Frank Sinatra, was bon in the USA and is an American citizen.
I can tell she feels the song...The way she changes her voice and enonantion . I can tell the way she looks into the camera and even her eyes are glassy. She feels like an Italian ,meaning Italian soul .
She was limited as a vocalist but her voice was warm and charming and given the right material she could be very effective. And I always thought she was the prettiest singer of her time.
What Class! So much star quality, beauty and style - where has this gone from today's "stars"? She didn't need to show all her bits and half her arse to gain our attention - I was just mesmorised watching that video....
Love this, never even saw this before, how I ever missed it I don't know - I don't recall that she recorded this I mean I have everything she did on Reprise, RCA and other labels -
I can't imagine the late 60's without her. They really played to the camera back then, didn't they. This one's very good. I can't remember if Herb Alpert's was released before this or not.
Ed's like.."uh-oh !..she's hugging me too close !...Frankie's gonna hear about it !...take a bow, Nancy...!..finally she let go !...don't want NO hassles..!..."
What happen to music this song this time even someone did someone wrong songs still had a hope ,love, possibilities, happy, upbeat etc comparing to today songs so down , depressing, you know the rest. These videos are the way to go back to happy times , times of love and happiness, hope.
This song was sung with much confidence. Nancy did not just sang this, she acted the part of a girl in love too. Looked at that camera and made love to it.
Nancy talked about holding her voice back and raising the pitch. Her real voice was stronger like her father's and I wish she had just let it out big instead of toning it down to fit the style of most lady pop singers of the time. I bet she could really belt it out when she wanted but her image was constricted for the times.
She had limited vocal ability. John Barry said that recording the Bond theme for You Only Live Twice was painful, the final "take" consisted of elements from dozens of takes spliced together almost line by line- she really was that bad!
The tempos too slow ..there are much better versions of this song .When's she's got the right sing and arrangements she ws a distinctive sexy and very good artist ...
No great singer and not even all that great looking. Even back then, branding, image, clothing styles, and slick studio production could take a mediocre talent to the top of the pop charts and to big time network television.
@@jackstubbington387 she was and i say it the most overrated and one of the least talented of her generation and show business just cause his father was bigg. So you gonna put her on janis joplin, lesley gore, grace slick, judy craig, aretha franklin (OMG), jonis mitchell, linda ronstadt, petula clark, diana ross, barbra streisand, dusty springfield, dionne wawick, tina turner well i can keep going and going if you want more i can give you
