I adore Nancy Wilson especially when she sings Broadway and I love hearing her sing this beautiful love song, what a Special treat to see it performed. She's incredibly awesome.!
This is my all time favorite version of this song. Nancy brings out the nuance of this classic ( originally written for a male singer BTW) and makes you listen to it as if for the first time. Nobody does it better. A great arrangement that really let’s her soar. She does that same on her version of People from Funny Girl, done the same year, and comes the closest of anyone to matching Barbara and really making it it her own. ..very few can do this successfully.
@@patrickbrown7290 You are so right about her recording of People, and it's tough to do justice to Barbra Streisand's version and Nancy does not disappoint. She is simply my favorite singer and for many songs.
@@Seabasstien Thanks for your note. Nancy does a great version of ‘Am I Blue’, a nearly identical version of the arrangement Barbra does in the film Funny Lady. She equals the Barbra version. I haven’t been able to find the Nancy version of this after only hearing it once by chance on late nite radio. It caught my attention then because of her performance instantly pulls you in, and because In the movie (and on the soundtrack) it’s not the full song sung thru, and it reverts to parody. If anyone knows where to find the Nancy version, pls reply.
