It will be cool one day, when we can 3D print the board, ICs, mask, everything associated with a finished circuit, on one machine... Yes, I admit, it's never enough for me :p

I dug out a price: $50-100K. At that price the throughput would have to be unbelievably fast and a company would need to have a specialised employee dedicated to feeding and caring for it to ensure continuous availability. How many boards would I have to get made in China, at about $100 a pop including air express delivery, to justify that? Amazing tech, though.

not that much.. 3d printing is hard for "people".. have to learn plastics, 3d modeling, some handy man skills..just for the out of the box very good printers. if you dont have those skills dont even think in build your own. same with this pcb printer. only will be used by people with some skills.. my opinion...
