Jenell I love seeing you here! I wish I could help you with the peel (I can if you come over and do it). You are tough and will handle it fine. Just be really careful with the eye area and use a lower percentage first! If you really want to work on scarring - microneedling is also incredible for that in addition to peels. You could always start with a dermaroller which is pretty safe. :)

I found you originally from this kind of video! I've still been too nervous to do it myself but seeing how flawless your before picture is, I really need to start utilizing your methods lol. I'm so fascinated by needling and especially peels but have yet to try either!! Your skin is incredible!!!!

With a lot of things we only notice the difference when we stop using a product, or treatment.. it's then we notice that it was indeed beneficial. I've noticed that with things I take, I run out, don't renew, and then suddenly notice how it was helping me.

Hi! Thank you for sharing the results. I think there is a huge difference in the way your skin looks after 3 weeks, its amazing! I'm wondering though in what order did you use the serums? did you apply did you alternate between all three when nano needling?

Hey Brenda! Thank you so much for the nice comment and for watching. I am so glad you could see the difference too! So, usually I would mix some of the Ordinary's Resveratrol with the Ordinary's Hyaluronic serum and apply that to my face first and let it soak in. Their Resveratrol serum is a bit thick so that is why I mixed it. Then, I would apply the Blanq serum with the applicator to my forehead and then nano needle it. Then do the other areas. I would sometimes go back in afterwards and apply more of the Resveratrol and hyaluronic - just so my skin got enough of those serums with the Blanq serum. :)

I'm gonna try it in 3 days, but as far as collagen production goes I don't think it would substitute microneedlig since it goes way deeper and hits dermis.

Hi there! Why didn’t you buy the nano cartridge for the Dr. pens? I’m so new to all of this, actually found you this week.

Hey Crissy! I had some issues with the Dr. Pen nano cartridges not working. I do need to repurchase or try a different type of nano cartridge for the Dr. Pen as there are many sellers and a few different types. The other main reason I used this pen instead is because it gets super close under the eyes. :)

Thank you so much! I haven't been using it consistently and in the past I would sometimes use it once a week, sometimes twice. I'm not sure why I've been so bad at being consistent with it. Maybe that would be a good video to do as well - on my first month of consistently using retinol. Do you use it?

@@LifeDIY Actually yes, firstly I got tretinoin ( on prescription) from my dermatologist and I used that every day in 3 months ( as recommended) now I take tretinoin tablets - I don’t have acne but I have got perioral dermatit so that is why I take them. I haven never seen my skin so nice... Not only perioral dermatit dissapear but also it looks so young ... The only issue I have right now are dry lips but I use vaseline for that so it’s getting better 🙂

@@LifeDIY only pills nothing more but I’ll start using cream again after when I’m done with pills . My cream is tretinoin 0,1 % and I used that everyday as doctor recommended but I stopped using that some night when I felt that my skin was irritated , actually the most irritation I got was on my neck, not face- the same reaction with pills but them I cannot just stop for one day 😉

Yes! When nano needling you can use whatever you like, as long as your skin can handle it. Some people are a little more sensitive. I think squalene is really soothing for most people though!

I just start microneedling and have a question for you. Do you notice your skin looked worse before better?

Hey Todd! Yes! Totally normal. I should do a video on this! I get asked that so often as people get really worried. For me, my skin does look worse and for some people (esp if their treatment was a bit invasive) they look a lot worse for about a week. I look worse until day 10 and then the skin looks the best it's ever looked!

If you use a Deminuage pen, you don't need to worry about depth as there isn't a setting for it. The pen is designed to have the right depth when you insert the cartrdige. Microneedling can be done once a month and nano needling can be done anytime in between. I like to do it a few times a week!

Penny of Penn Smith Skincare said with nano needling with the Dr. Pen, here are the recommended settings: Nano: 0.1mm - 0.15mm If you do nano needling with the Dr. Pen, it usually needs to be set at 2.25 (with the special nano cartridge in it). I have never tried this, but this is what she stated. :)

Great video as always and hope you are doing well amidst all this COVID mess! I end up trying a procedure called Secret RF - microneedling with radio frequency. Had 3 treatments spaced a month apart and I definitely notice a difference in skin texture. However, I think at home microneedling the way you demonstrate in your videos can yield comparable results and save a ton of money. Keep up the good work!

i'm sleepy, i just came back from shopping groceries, because i am gross like that🤪 anyway, you should mention that this works for men too, like... there are tons of the stuff that i didn't do because i thought that they are specifically for women. i know it sounds a bit silly but what can i say ? i am a dude, so deep down... i'm very shallow😋
