I’m still using Cinematic mode primarily as it feels the most accurate to me but overall I’m really happy with it because of how bright it is and responsive it is now once I fixed my “corners” error!! Awesome video. Ive switched from a govee t2 to the nano leaf and i love it so far. I just wish Nanoleaf would add a 'save scene' mode... personally i use a custom made scene but if I switch to cinematic or vivid this resets my custom made scene. Other than that its an awesome bit of kit. Looking forward to future updates.
Hello I used 4D Nanoleaf for one week and I noticed that vivid mod is not accurate. , I have put my camera under my TV and the top of the TV is always red. In fact when there is black areas, red always appears. In cinema mod this not happens

Thank you 🤗! I’ve used ambient lighting for years. I really enjoy it, I usually keep mine on a static color unless I’m gaming or e action style movies. But epics and things like that I like the subtle separation from the wall.
im trying to see install videos or how the light is. i am getting a 65" tv i can see u can get 65" lights or 85" so i assume 65" but how is the lights? is it a strip or strips, or rectangle? it says light strip kit. so i assume 1 strip at top of tv and i would need one for the bottom and maybe 2 for the sides? how is a light strip illuminating 65" of a tv in 4 corners?
Cool that looks much better. Thanks for the update. I'm not entirely sure that I understand the difference between the different modes. What's the difference between the 3D mode and the 4D?
The 3D mode will take a few colors from the screen and place those on the edges, but it will not mirror what’s on the screen. For example if there is a black screen and a plate of different color fruit on screen it will take a few colors from the plate and randomly place the colors around the edge, but it will not follow the colors of the screen as the plate turns, only highlight the colors in random places. But 4D will take the exact colors of the fruit and follow them along the edge of the television as the plate rotates, so an exact mirrored copy of the fruit.
If nanoleaf realy reads comments here is what i think. Nanoleaf already have amazing screen mirroring capabilities on all of their devises. SO all i need to have ambilight on my monitor is just aRGB strip. Problem is thet somehow nanoleaf only have light strip that can show only one color at a time... Release aRGB strip!
I just bought a nanoleaf 4d and need to say the adhesive on the light strip doesn't stick to anything. Very disappointed -- I had to order double sided tape. If the product has any more glitches or issues I will 100% be returning it. Nanoleaf is not making a good first impression with me
I mean I agree with you to a certain extent. They shouldn't have released a product that's not ready. I had govee t2 before and their software is on point .
Well! I have the T2 but also I’ve owned every Govee TV Ambient control box back to their first one and trust me that very first one back in the days when you could buy it for $50 on Amazon only, this is when the I think it was called “dreamvision” and ppl using raspberry pi to create bias lighting was a thing. But, basically this is Nanoleaf’s first iteration and Govee has about 10 years on them like Phillips who had bias lighting in their televisions as far back as 2002 has a jump start on Govee. But I know that due to Nanoleaf’s history they’ll make this a superstar product rather quickly, it’s just firmware to be tweaked as the hardware is top notch in regard to brightness, color and UI! But I manage “experience” professionally so I know my viewpoint comes from that systemic approach and less individual, so a slight bias of expected marginal inefficiency for sure!
@@Infamous88888 I think they should update their digital setup to emphasize that because I didn’t know that was a problem until I chatted with them. That as well as the 4 corners, going off my experience with Govee, IsNow, Phillips and a few others I didn’t know it would correct the rest after I selected the top left corner, the white light that spirals counterclockwise after you hit submit for calibration made me think it was complete. But when they said it, I was like “oh sh#t, duh” to myself hahahaha but anxious to see how they update the software and how it works with shapes!
urgh... MVPs... I deal w/ that daily at work... lol. it works though for the most part. however, most people do not like being free beta testers... 🤣 glad to see you got it working better. I'm loving mine now. it does not work well with movies from directors like Nolan whose films as they tend to be way more muted in color. i'd say these types of products work best with animation such as anime or games.
Hahahaha! That is so true, that’s why I wanted to explain it lol! I know people hate being the first wave, but we “early adopters” have great responsibility with our purchasing power 😂🤣😂🤣 Agreed on color!!! I think these products are definitely suited for vibrant and saturated tapestries and bringing those landscapes to life. For those types of movies that are muted I tend to just do a static color like white because I don’t want a lot of distraction when watching an “epic” I just want that subtle removal from background if that makes sense. But action, gaming and even musicals like La La Land with all the bright yellows look awesome!! And man Anime!!!! That’s the sweet spot for this tech!!
@@CoZChristopher yup, what we call the "early adopter tax" lol. i actually have it turned off for drama/epic movies, no distractions at all, only what's going on the screen. i tried gaming and it's "ok"... depends on the game I guess
@@CoZChristopher I uploaded a video of a clip of Zom 100 with the nanokleaf 4d and it got flagged so can't share but it was a good example of it working well with anime lol

Basically after a minute or two. The colors just stop working overall . I have to keep turning it on and off my I'm really confused I reached out to them and we'll they're sending me a new one . I hope this one works better
This product is so awful, never been so disappointed, the LEDs don’t stick worth of anything I had to tape them to my monitor the first day, I also had some problems connecting to my app randomly after a month and now they still don’t connect while Nanoleaf hasn’t responded to any of my tickets. Horrible company and even worse product
you can adjust this crap for days and it still won't show proper color movement or even proper color.. red and purple oh boy.... I have a Govee that is 5 years old and blows this crap product away.. Just SAIYAN... I sent this crap back for refund the same day... just would not work as shown in their BS VIDEOS
