As a Norwegian metalhead I gotta say, this is hilarious! xD For the references: Norway is an oil country, with oil platforms in the North Sea. We apparently still whale, and we've had some edgelords in the Black Metal scene burn a handful of churches, probably most famously the Fantoft stave church. It goes off to mention some Black Metal artists, namely Hellhammer(drummer, named himself after the Swiss band), Varg (the name most associated with the church arsons, and also the murder of a fellow band member), Fenriz(part of the Darkthrone two man band). There's also a couple of Norwegian lines thrown in there, with decent pronounciation: "Hvis lyset tar oss" ("If the light takes us") and "det som engang var" ("what once was"). I think this is just straight up making fun of the Norwegian Black Metal scene history, which I'm 100% down with! xD (Also, Norway is well known for its Black Metal, and it being sort of a low key national music genre here, might be what they're referring to with "Norwegian reggaeton".)
"No way they had more fun filming anything else" Not so sure about that. Try Pasadena 1994 feat. Joakim Broden from Sabaton. They are actually making fun of Sabaton and they got their frontman into it. As a Sabaton fan, I say it's is pure gold
I video dei Nanowar of steel sono girati in Italia soprattutto nei dintorni di Roma e spesso a costi parecchio limitati usando locations di parenti ed amici. Ma la loro genialità è unica
Great reaction! Have you seen coop video by NoS and Joakim Brodèn (Sabaton) that is called Pasadena 1994 yet? I bet you could like that one. :D I think NoS are always funding their own video productions.
True, but for Uranus they had to book for an entire telescopic laboratory, plus double the costumes for all of them and the dancers! Anyway it's all to say that that is the length of dedication for their HOBBY!
I saw in an interview they declare it took three weeks to write the lyrics because they wanted to mix every lyric line with Black Metal and Reggaeton, so it was a not easy task. Even like that they managed to put inside a couple of Italian Jokes too. They are amazing. Next time I would suggest subtitles for their not English songs. Did you look at Uranus? Is a song with Michael Starr (Steel Panther), you’ll find it very informative.
And now, after gospel and reggaeton you have to go on with "disco metal" from their latest album. I think the best cross-referenced song is Chupacabra Cadabra but unfortunately it has no video
Disco metal is super fun! Chupacabra-Cadabra is like 9 minutes long, with sweet surprises near the end and a big reference to one other of their songs (vegan velociraptor)
You reacted to Korns "Sean Olsen" which was on the crow city of angels soundtrack but Deftones has a track on that soundtrack as well called "Teething" if you've never heard it you won't be disappointed definitely one of my favorites by them
