Corpus Equus is an absolute gem in my collection. A masterful work by Bertrand Duchaufour.... I'm also a big fan of his work with Neela Vermeire, some of the most criminally underappreciated work in perfumery and a house I'll be looking to add to my collection. Great feature brother ✌🏻

I totally agree, really elegant, wearable, leather, rounded, with a touch of animalic to add character.

Hey Ram! Totally agree that Corpus Equus is a very wearable and balanced, lovely fragrance! Now that you mention it, the Ad copy is a bit odd. I own & Love my full bottle. I’ve always put this scent very much within the world of the Hermes leather fragrances. The leather of the tack room is very specific, vegetable-tanned with quite unique scent profiles (both new & broken-in with horse sweat). Tack leather truly is more refined and Hermes Galop or Caleche gives a great feel for it, and they do a great job bringing out the feminine side of leather. I wonder… is there a “feminine” version of leather? Anyway, great video, thoughts, knowledge as always!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏👏🙏❤️🙏❤️

Haven't sampled this one from Naomi Goodsir. Will give it a try. Have a great week ahead.

@RamseytheRam you have to review Bois d'Ascese. It's the best of the line, and also Iris Cendre (my second favorite). Both made by Julien Rasquinet.

Naomi G is one of the best modern niche houses, all of their releases so far are well executed, interesting and top quality imho... not sure if you will like Or du Serail though, it was a bit too sweet for my tastes 😄

Hey Rams ,yeah Rich first put this one one my radar when he did a house first impression video and of course animalic Leather immediately drew me , so in my usual blind buy style I got me a bottle lol,first sprays on back of hand and a big old huff, oops I didn’t at all understand nor appreciate it ,not at all what I expected not at all animalic leathers I have and really enjoy,sad days for me ,however time passed and I gotta say getting whiffs of it not huffs directly it really was quite nice and ,to me totally original to any Leather fragrance I have ,and I gotta say I really do enjoy this now 2 sprays on neck/ chest and I totally in my mind, dismiss the animalic Leather and go down the path of a smoke,suede,and yeah light Rose scent that is totally wearable and in fact does get the nod of approval at work when not smelled up close or oversprayed cheers buddy great review oh yeah the box is over busy and a bitch to deal with hahaha 🙏✌️👍. Had to make a little edit add on as it just hit me,the smoky Leather/Suede note in corpus I realize is vibing in a Jousset frag called Hypnotic Leather,and by god in the black Knight by Francesca B.plus in a fantastic fragrance from Dr Ellen Coby of Olympic Orchids called Salamanca,common factor they all feature a black or utilitarian horse tack style leather 😮,call me crazy and a lot will but it’s just my opinion and thoughts 😊👍

Love Corpus Equus. I'd be very interested in trying Silver oud but it's 600 $ here in Canada while Corpus Equus is "'only'' 240$. 😂
