@@MAtogable Yeah this whole fucked up situation we are all in is a hell of a drug, i really wish more people would be pissed about what is happening in the world, especially right now
My review on Allmusic written December 29, 2017. 4.5 Stars Smear Campaign might be Napalm Death's best album since the late 90's. It is a ferocious assault of thrash, metalcore and punk mixed into a concoction of powerful and memorable riffs. Barney Greenway is in fine form and Mitch Harris provides the Napalm Death trademark high pitch screams. Smear Campaign incites repeated listenings as the songs are first rate. Highlights include "Sink Fast, Let Go", "Puritanical Punishment Beating", "Freedom Is The Wage Of Sin" and "In Deference". Of the many great Napalm Death records, Smear Campaign is one of their best.
Ya start listening to their discography and ya realize ya just gotta get them all. I've bought 8 used copies of napalm death off of discog and ebay for great cheap prices. I gotta get this one now. This sounds even more pissdd off brutal. After my coffee in morning I just randomly just grab one and slam it on . The new album kicks ass. As does Apex predator. I've gone back into vault For some reason I quit buying napalm after the first couple on cassette They all are brutal. My neighbor hate me. But this shit is perfect for being pissed off in covid lockdown in my city all clubs bars venues closed. Fuck it. I'm ordering this one
I am seeing Napalm Death in 2 months. It will be my first time and I am really looking forward to it. They are coming to Western Australia and Im gonna be in the pit the whole time!!!
the drumming here is sloppier than your mom's snatch. every single blast beat is out of time. listen to some quality techdeath if you want some super tight drumming
As a metal fan for over 30 years I disagree that Slayer have been consistent. It stopped being enjoyable after Seasons & they never really recovered. Napalm however, continued to improve.
Ojalá que century media y nuclear blast subieran sus lanzamientos de álbumes como lo hacen metal blade, season of mist y relapse. Por cierto, que pedazo de álbum y que pedazo de banda!
Not sure if it was the same show your talking about but I seen Napalm Death there at the Newport in Columbus Ohio with Obituary and Dead to Fall that was a killer fuckin show
I'm not a huge fan of grind, however, I do like a few of Napalm Death's songs. For instance, I fancy "When all is said and done" and "Silence is Deafening." Having said that, what would be a good album to start with If I wanted to delve into their huge catalog? I also found that I like Barney Greenway on vocals as opposed to Lee Dorian.
I think this is actually a nice album to start with. Another would be Scum but if you're not into this extreme metal thing in the first place it'll probably throw you off very easily lol maybe try Inside The Torn Apart, it's their most groovy stuff in comparision to other stuff where it may sound too noisy
I disagree , bands like the Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Crass and Discharge (amongst others) were doing it before them and it's in those bands that you'll find the lyrical roots of Napalm. Maybe the first 'death metal' band to do it, but they've always been 50/50 punk and metal...
