If she rolled the point back on the napkin holder, the tiny loop could be a place for a flower, or a ribbon bow, or a pair of chop sticks.

I don’t know that purple sponge or rib. Who makes it and why do use that one in particular?

It’s a pottery sponge made by Diamond core tools that is great for smoothing out clay and working with porcelain or groggy clay.☺️
