Dear Napoleonic fan, I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits. As a fellow admirer of Napoleon, I wanted to reach out and connect with someone who shares my passion for this remarkable historical figure. It's always a pleasure to meet like-minded individuals who appreciate the legacy of Napoleon and his contributions to history. If you ever want to discuss his military campaigns, political strategies, or any other aspect of his life, I would be more than happy to engage in a thoughtful conversation with you. Wishing you all the best in your continued exploration of Napoleon's life and legacy. Warm regards, Eleonoire La Renard
Napoleon changed the world, ended the rule of Austria, shattered the Spanish Empire, created the Napoleonic code reducing the influence of the church, civil marriage, civil registration, taught Europeans to not throw trash on the streets but in the wagons, to bury their dead outside the cities, taught Europe to use the decimal metric system, kept the English overseas. Napoleon changed the world for the better. A general, politician, thinker. Was a great man,
+18tangles he also conquered the world. 70 million people were under his control at the height of his power. when Hitler invaded France 1940 after he decided not to destroy Paris, he visited Napoleon's tomb. I would say Napoleon, Alexander the Great, and Ghenis Khan will go down as the top 3 greatest conquerors of all time. would you agree?
@@MichaelMiller-iu4kg not genkhis khan as his conquest where done by subutai and other mongol generals. Constantine the great is missing from your list btw.
A most seasoned combatant ... that battle in almost every continent... hmmmm.. hmmmm a definition of a military individual... hmmmm.. well done son ... the world one day will know you as a man of peace... because you have seen it all... hmmmm.. 😑..
His tragedy was one of increasing loneliness and impatience with those who could not understand his vision. And if his desire to unite Europe ended in failure... what failure! His failure towered over other men's successes. I've read...I've read a lot about people better than me, boys. But the glory and the memory of man will always belong to the ones who follow their great visions. And the greatest of these is the one they now... call "The Great Corsican" - the greatest French of them all.

If Napolean would ne alive in this world today he will feel very lonely and helpless and abandoned without his that era people, I believe the other his comrades shared same feeling and bonding......Long live France.....
Sempre Vive l'Empereur ❤️🇲🇫🦅
"The ideas that underpin our modern world-meritocracy, equality before the law, property rights, religious toleration, modern secular education, sound finances, and so on-were championed, consolidated, codified and geographically extended by Napoleon. To them he added a rational and efficient local administration, an end to rural banditry, the encouragement of science and the arts, the abolition of feudalism and the greatest codification of laws since the fall of the Roman Empire. " -Andrew Roberts, British historian.
My favourite historical commander. Even if he lost at waterloo he will be my best tactic ever. Using his clues i am Polish general who is fighting in Syria. My country is piece of shit but i fight for freedom like napoleon
MyLegwan Napoleon lost at Leipzig before Waterloo, which was more important . It's actually pathetic how much attention western media gives to Waterloo. Napoleon was defeated thanks to Russia, Prussia and Austria in 1813-1814. ( read about the war of 6th coalition). If Napoleon would've won Waterloo, it was still lost cause for him, so yeah 1812 and 1813 campaigns were most important.
mace slot Totally agree! Even if he had won at Waterloo the war was certainly lost but I think that they gave so importance at Waterloo because it was the first time that an army under *Napoleon's command* was routed from the battlefield. It the other 8 battles that Napoleon lost, his army retreated always in good order, even at Leipzig. I personally believe that the end of Napoleon was decided at the Battle of Borodino on 7th September of 1812 when he refused to commit the Imperial Guard and failed to destroy the Russian army entirely and win the war and thus, saving his professional army from disaster. Furthermore, if he had won the battle decisively, I do not think that the Sixth Coalition would have ever been created. There were some chances of course to win the _War of the Sixth Coalition_ at Lützen, Bautzen or Dresden but the circumstances of a decisive victory were not depended by Napoleon's decisions but by those of his subordinates or his personal health.
What a life this man lived. It's epochal, it's meteoric, it's without a parallel. It's sad that it ended the way it did. At Waterloo, his cherished and hitherto undefeated Guards were thoroughly beaten by overwhelming numbers. The Allied center right, between Hougomont and La Haye Sainte, beat back the Middle Guard, while almost at the same time, the Prussians at Plancenoit beat the Old and the Young Guard.
There will be no general like Khalid bin Waleed who fought 100 battle and never lose even one he defeated Persian and Roman at time when he fought Roman Empire 9 swords were broked in his hand
Napoléon is an absolute legend deserves to be hoisted up to the highest peaks of Mt. Olympus Vangelis is song is really fitting excellent choice vive la France
@pkendall19 You are quite right. A lot of our scientific progress was made during war-time, and the hardship of war also led to social and political progress. The strength of Europe the past couple of hundred years is rivalry&wars between Nations. Unfortunately, with the project of the EU, we will become slaves of a capitalosocialist supra-national federation. I see the continents as families, and the Nations as brothers and sisters. It's by brother-rivalry that the family reaches greatness..
calm down im belgian, i speak dutch for me french is complicated enough, i know that italian, french, spanish and portugees ( -> latin languages) are simulur to each other, like duth and german for example (-> germanic languages) but vive = long live, i guess viva in spanish and portugees means also = long live

Dear Mr. or Dear Cat, if you allow myself to write some words and in consideration that I know a person called Prem Rawat, for me, my Master and the Master of this time, I tell you that war - don''t worry about these reasons - is always a worst answer to solve problems but the Creator - in this mercy position in a infinite way - accept that world of beings humans is also the world of the war. Knowing about this, the Creator presents in which certain period of the Human History a man that try to show us(humans beings) the true way to live. This way is ever a challenge to each human being. Before to conclude this short text I bet that you have a good live and have a good luck wherever you live, wherever you are. From Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
