Thank you for a great weekend I really enjoyed my Gordon Highlanders doing exactly the opposite to what i wanted all weekend. Now started on the Brunswick troops ready for March. Personally I thought 4 games over the two days was just fine. The curry was alright. beers and company was better.
Hi Tim I have had a box of the windy boat game that has never seen the light of day after this I might just break it out and have a go. Take care terry
The chap who won best painted army was Matt Wielden. I had to ask him his name so I could vote for him, lol. There were some cracking armies which still needed finishing off too.
Trying to find info on the Blogadot I began to wonder if it was some kind of computer terminology spoof name but finally found it on Wiki. 130 Guns but I couldn't find out how many crew which is what I really wanted to know. I don't have a table that comes close to handling Sarissa's frigate ship, but boy o boy does it make my wallet itch. I do plan on acquiring their "Niagara" 20 gun, fresh water frigate for the Irish project. Can't do Epic, too small for my tremorous painting skills, besides which I'd need my reading glasses to tell who's who on the table despite the bright colors. I look forward to Sundays show and the Dutch/Belgians, Dom's are awfully pretty. Hugs !
@TwisstedSage yeah, there's not much out there! There's a superb website out there that's for ships what Mont st John is for Waterloo, and they have nothing on it! I agree, Dom's minis were absolutely lovely!
Happy days, 1st and 2nd March I shall make sure I'm off and get a ticket when I can! Since I heard you will be doing another event, I have decided to start a Spanish army. Will be interesting and currently halfway through my first battalion!
Hi Tim - March is booked in - might even try and finish my French off!! Have you thought of setting up a Discord channel for all things Napoleonic wargaming? I appreciate this would be more work, but just a suggestion.
Mate you’re placing the farrier wrong. If the poor sod tried to shoe horses like that he’d get a sour taste in his mouth from shewing horse tail, before having the lights knocked out of him by a serious horse kick 😂 great event last weekend, keep up the good work and see you in 2025!
