Narayanpet - a town in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana is synonymous for its cotton and silk sarees. The weaving process of Narayanpet cotton sarees is a unique one where eight sarees are made at a time on the loom. The first step of the process involves dyeing of cotton yarn to make sure that the color is spread uniformly throughout. Then it is dried under shade and finally loaded into the loom.
These are handloom sarees woven using interlock-weft technique. These are handwoven sarees known for its durability, affordability and low maintenance. These sarees can be found in dual shades like pink-purple and maroon-mustard with contrast pallu and border. The 80 count sarees are perfect for any season. All the sarees are very beautiful and would make a great gift especially at the time of marriages when one needs to do bulk purchasing. The only problem is that the blouses do not match with the saree. If you can have a running blouse in the same fabric, it would look fabulous. In this way the recipients of gift will also not complain that the blouses do not match.
