For non-Spanish speakers, this song tells in First Person the story of a particularly swaggering Colombian highlander (the singer) who tries to convince everybody he has killed the devil by a machete cut. In order to prove such a feat, the highlander adopts an even more swaggering tone, adding small and vaguely credible details about his fight, ensuring, for instance, he has gloriously obtained his tail as a trophee and is willing to show it to everyone "later". But that's not all, because the highlander is such a badass (well, at least according to his own report) that he swears not only having maimed the devil, but also both having stabbed him more than 3500 times and placed over the, still unlocalized, corpse a placard who warns everybody with the following manly words: "I am not finished yet" Edit: You maybe hear other voices in the song, but they are merely interjections of masculine approval with no precise meaning.
I'm sat in a room, looking all fed-up and prepping for tests and then I come across this. I gotta admit, I've been listening to Colombian music in loop for the last 2 days and I absolutely love it. Finally, not another song about: lost love/broken heart but a proper song relating a funny-peculiar story. If u guys still play such music in bars, Colombia is my holiday destination in future. Cheers from Poland.
Fell in love the moment I heard this song. Been on a non stop columbian music binge. I really appreciate the guitar and all the other subtle instruments.

I’m Arabic and I know this song word by word why?? I have no idea but I always loved Spanish culture and the Spanish language Ud be surprised how many words we share with the exact meaning and pronunciation
The Arabs invaded Spain for almost 500 years. That's why we have similar words in both languages. In Colombia we also receive a large immigration of Syrian and Lebanese people in XVIII century. We are distant brothers
Josman Heath yes sir I always have love for Latinos Spanish Hispanics I speak a little Spanish we really are distant brothers when Latinos do DNA test it says they have North African they think they have African in them and their black but the truth is they have arab in them North Africa is all Arabs

No he visto Narcos.

FOR THE ENGLISH SPEAKERS ------------------ 🎵As i have traveled a lot, and I fear no man When I pull out my machete The earth trembles Yesterday i fought the Devil Who’s supposedly so tough Until I cut him so bad even I was surprised I put my bag behind me and wrapped my poncho on my hand and in the first knife attack I plucked his tail The fight continued and before people noticed With the point of the machete I drew a Skull on his skin And whoever does not believe nor wants to listen come here closer And I'll show you his tail(vis) When he noticed he was injured He got into position and came towards me like a bullet and he almost got me So I grabbed the machete And passed it to my left hand and with a strong strike I plucked the first leg out And like five riots I yelled Hail Mary! and before he noticed I had turned him into nothing They finally counted 3.500 cuts on him with carved letters saying "I'm not finished"🎶
Yesterday i was in the job, while the whole business come down (Because all the problems of Venezuela) the workers was so furious screaming to the boss. Everything with this song playing.
This type of music reminds me of our neighbor. (Cuban). Don Sanchez, with his help my baseball game improved rapidly. Also the passion for the game… he was like my second Grandpa… I mis him a lot..✌️
Letra English: As I have been a wanderer and no one terrifies me When I take out my machete, the earth starts to shake Yesterday I fought with the devil, who is said to be very brave I hit him with a machetera that I was amazed I put the carriel back and I rolled up the poncho And, from the first machete blow, the devil's tail was cut off We continued the fight, and before the people saw With the tip of the machete I painted a skull Let him come over here and I'll show him his tail (And whoever does not want to believe, does not want to pay attention to me) Let him come over here and I'll show him his tail When the devil was hurt, he turned into a spider. It came to me like a shot and almost, almost caught me So, I passed the machete to the other left hand And with a strong machetazo blow I kicked off the first leg And about five stirs and I yelled "Ave Maria" And, before he knew it, I turned him into crap Three thousand five hundred cut, they told the deceased And a sign that said: "it's not over yet" Let him come over here and I'll show him his tail (And whoever does not want to believe or pay attention to me) Let him come over here and I'll show him his tail Let him come over here and I'll show him his tail (And whoever does not want to believe or pay attention to me) Let him come over here and I'll show him his tail
Great music !!! Reminds me of what I did before I know there was a soundtrack to the life I live before I know what is and have been in motion since the Beginning
