I loved her scream of excitement when she got that one record, that's why I watch Nardwuar interviews, I love seeing their genuine excitement and happiness
@@shotbyronald agreed, that twerkulator song didnt really go anywhere. the song with fivio was pretty good though, would love a full album of hits from them this summer
yeah and it all comes out during these interviews hahah if i were an artist and i was concerned with keeping my mystique i would probably avoid doing one of these
I love how Narduar is so kind and actually does his research rather than focusing on the negatives in someone's career he boosts em! A sincere soul making history! The ending tho🤣
I've been going through a lot, yes. But that's not the only reason I inexplicably teared up watching this. Thru the simple act of research and filming this conversation, Nardwuar is exposing the ways that these two sisters have been key parts of the DNA of hip hop. He places them in the canon of hip hop in a way that's undeniable. My mind is blown and I can't help but wonder how it would have been if hip hop journalism had contained a fraction of this passion and respect historically. How would the discourse about women in hip hop have been different? Man I hate the unfairness in this world. All of it
I'm not gonna pretend i know what you're going through, but this interview is hitting something in me too. Even just seeing their defenses slowly go down and their smiles becoming bigger... shit got to me.
You know what it is? It’s a clean interview. Straight to the point, Narduar always lets the people talk and allow them to feel hyped without any judgement or backlash. There’s never anything messy about his interviews. That’s it.
I’ve watched so many of Nardwuar interviews and this one was so special and really showed the City Girls from a different cultural perspective! JT is sooo hott and loves rap and Miami is a fly girl and the realest.
City Girls is the kind of success story that encourages me as a underground artist with a small following. Seeing how they developed his skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity they were giving has been inspirational! They have quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. The group is too fire! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to City Girls🔥
Yeah I’ve seen every interview he has ever did, and especially the ones with rappers at least 3x each. I just think he’s a phenomenal journalist and I never ever seen a bad interview from him other then the Eric Andre is kinda awkward because of Eric I think he was on drugs and another band he interview 20 years ago , forgot what band they were called but they kept being very disrespectful towards him and he kept the interview going , dude is a legend
He does, if the artist, athlete, or entertainer opens up & gives him a chance! I've seen a couple assholes he's interviewed! If an artist doesn't respect his craft, I don't stream their music! He's the 🐐!
@@treybikes I think the interview you were talking about was with Blur, one of the guys kept taking his hat and getting in his face trying to instigate a fight. It was really weird they basically just bullied Nard
I mean everybody is different. Shes being herself. And u gota respect that. But she wuz actually turnt in this interview. I mean how could u not be. Wen u see how hard Nardwuar goes for these interviews. U can tell he genuinely likes to make people smile
i initially clicked on this video to see the first few seconds to sense the dynamic & only ended up watching the entire thing. it’s a testament to Nardwuar’s skills as an interviewer, the ability to draw genuineness from his interviewees
One reason I love nardwaur is because I get to learn and understand artist that I'm not familiar with.. no matter who he's interviewing it's always great
They have a lot of fun songs but solo rappers like Megan and Cardi on their own both overshadow them. It sucks cause I think the city girls have potential to be better than they are but they’re more focused on their looks and social media than the music
@@vl2663 agreed! JT alone could be on Megan’s status-sis can freestyle, something that Cardi isnt good at. Yung Miami, with her connections has potential too, but like you said, they’re focused on the vanity of beauty and fame.
I literally just said that these girls have A+ list potential. They're so under promoted wtf. They'd be EVERYWHERE if I managed them. 😭 They are the ONLY female rap group GLOBALLY. They'd be on pop hits, tv shows, fashion spreads, product lines like what is QC doin?
Caresha need to work on her media training she has such a dry and off standish attitude, it’s cringey - especially when JT tries to always lighten the mood and be so bubbly but she got Caresha next to her ruining the vibe.
The crazy thing is that she has so much personality when she does her Instagram lives. It's like the polar opposite of the interviews. She kind of shuts down in interviews, but the personality is there. She just has to bring it out more.
Caresha comes off as more real and that's her dry sense of humor. Yall just want females to be bubbly or "they need to change their attitude". Let Caresha be a male rapper and there wouldn't be a problem with her personality.
Def didn’t expect this. I would love to see Nardwuar and Sada Baby it would be so interesting bc Sada is very intelligent and humble. He listened to Nickelback with his Pops back in the day
The fact that you don’t know Skuba says enough smallprunepluto. Also you hate Nickelback because you’re a follower and think it’s cool to hate bc mainstream does. They have absolute bangers and I’m not going to argue about it 💯🤷🏼♀️😘
He was very educated and well versed and into this interview. The interviewer and the city girls together both made this very enjoyable to watch. Thank you.
A pioneer , he stucks to his own lane and does his shit his way!!! Like him or hate. Over 1 million followers. He love hip hop and want to introduce it to world.
