@@gerardocamarena6488 LMAO bro got salty after he couldn't keep the stuff Edit: I'm a big Nas fan and I was kind of disappointed in the way he acted lol
E40 took on a style that wasn't really him at some point, and went more mainstream afterword #hyphy#ghostridethewhip#shakethemdreads.. That was not him and he knew. Still appreciate E40 for doing his thing for bay music and those of us that slapped underground northern cali music, and all Cali music.
I don't know of any other rapper with E40s popularity who still sounds this connected to his area and history. E40 always seems like the coolest and most humble guy out there. Also all this yay area slang is on point lol.
all bay area artists are like this we have an insulated culture like u think e40 biggest out the bay but IN the bay we know the jacka is the greatest to touch the mic and if u dont stay in the hood u get mollywhopped straight up
I remember when I met E-40 in down town Marriott in Portland. Dude was super nice and he said was-sup to me and my bro. Very humble man and you can tell from this interview.
first thing out Nards mouth was somthing no other interviewer would ask. you can tell by the way 40 reacted that brought him back. Nardwuar is the best
E 40 is one of the most influential people in the game with the bay area but very few give recognition or respect, everyone was smoking bay area cannabis in the USA but showed no love.
@@mauricio449 I put together stables with some staples. I'm a dreamer but I don't believe in fables. I don't wear designer because I don't want to be labeled. Have alot on my plate including the table. I bit off more than I could chew and started chewing then sipped juice from a ladle.
E-40 got his game from the old school. Notice how he tells kids not to drink, unlike the rappers nowadays who will tell kids to do the worst things imaginable. E-40 is a living legend.
I’m born and raised in Vallejo. Highland elementary, vallejo Jr and senior high. I love seeing this shit! Shout out big Earl. Just wish Mac Dre could have been interviewed to! R.I.P. Dre!!
E-40 knows his stuff, not like most artist nardwuard interview and they pretend to know and just read the tittle of the album and say yeeeeaaahh dope dope like if they knew
Originality with his rhyme patterns, versatility with his flow, longevity, delivery, extensive vocabulary including a dictionary worth of personally invented slang terms, voice, level of influence in the rap game, discography & ability to do party songs or serious songs, are all reasons why it could be argued that E40 is the G.O.A.T
I own a liquor store and have met 40 multiple times doing promos and stuff for his wine and spirit brands. He’s a great dude, and treats his fans awesome.
5 years later and I still love this interview. You can see 40 be so surprised by what Nardwaur says that he actually drops character and the real 40 comes out. It only lasts a few seconds before he realizes it and goes back into character. It happens over and over again. I love it.
E40 is a REAL one. OG's been getting it since the early 80's and still relevant in this game even today. Definitely a big inspiration for anyone looking for longevity and culture; not to mention all the dope slang terms he's coined.
classic, always hoped for Nardwuar to interview E-40. Westcoast legend! One of the few rappers I been listening to since the late 80's that still putting out dope albums.
good shit, I don't know if its me, but when nard interviews all these gangsta rappers from the 90's they are really impressed, humble and relaxed with him. I love it!!!.KEEP IT UP NARD-U THE BEST
My father is from Olongapo City, Philippines never been to the Bay in his life during the 90s. . . he had the Conscious Daughter's Album, the one called Gamers. That's how legendary they are/were back in the day!
I honestly had no idea who E-40 was before this interview. Heard OF him to some extent. Based on his personality is genuinely made me want to not only listen to him but buy some of his music goes to show how being true to yourself and a kind person can go a long way.
7:22 E-40 is already impressed but here he just has to laugh. Nardwuar straight had his memory for him. Always been a 40 fan and him appreciating Nardwuar like this only sealed the deal more.
I am sure Nardwuar is real connected for a dude. It will be sad that there is no one else going to be like him when he retires. Such a plain and humble sounding guy.
So dope that he pays tribute and shouts out all these dope female MCs and says how there’s so many amazing female rappers. I love Kool g rap but I remember seeing a video of him saying he and name one female rapper he likes and the interviewer keeps naming legends like “not even this one?” And he keeps going “I don’t like ANY FEMALE RAPPERS” it might have been a bit but if not it’s just mad corny
Nick Aguilar 40 is such a rad dude. I seen him 5 times live where I live in Vancouver Canada. He signed my Sf Giants ballcap. Been listening to him since 1997!
