You got that right James. Felt like a mini vacation just going to Kaiser Hospital this morning to get some blood work done. came out of my appointment and sat in the parking lot and watched Collin and Sean. oh and Otis. Always very relaxing
I learn English for most of my life, I watch English films, I watch English tv and Netflix series, I read books written by English authors - but since last week I wasn't aware of this absolutely fantatic canal system! With all of these unique locks, bridges, tunnels and more - what a great history behind all of them! Now I have to revise my future plans for trip to GB. Narrowboats and English gardens, thats all I want :) Greetings from PL guys!
It’s amazing how many Americans are fascinated by our canal system. It’s probably all the history that’s behind them as well. We take them for granted and maybe we shouldn’t as they are a National treasure.
I don't have a narrow boat, not planning on buying one, actually never been on one... i just stumbled upon this channel and I absolutely love you guys. Great people you two are! :)
I love you guys. May 2024 I just discovered your videos so I'm slowly working my way through them. The filming is top notch - well done Colin!! The navigation is fantastic ..... well done Shaun. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching from Canada. 🤩
What a fun episode, a mysterie man, a scooby doo coal theft, a near hit by a racing narrowboat and Shaun laughing at your junk . And the overall lovely english countryside. And, of course, Otis and the Outtakes-Treasure at the end. Thanks for being your also lovely selves. 🌺
Very good video. Really enjoyed it. Glad there was no accident.Lovely scenery. I like Birmingham too. I spent three years there at Aston University. It was a wonderful time I remember it with great fondness. Keep safe Guys and love to Otis. 510 comments . That's incredible. Well done. 😀😀😁😁🐕🐕
You guys are amazing together!! When I'm not feeling myself I watch one of your videos and you perk me up so thank you so much xx have a lovely weekend ♥️
I'm a Brit (from Yorkshire) now living in America. Watching your videos really shows what a beautiful Country England is. I always show my wife when a new video comes out. Keep up the good work, and the sense of humour. Thanks Guys
Now that was just what I needed. Day two of the lockdown and feeling sorry for myself and I get the notification of your Vlog. It felt so good to see you and it cheered me up no end. All the best. Stephen xx
Great entertainment as always guys - love the way Shaun cannot help but snort and giggle every time something with the vaguest hint of innuendo is said! We were wondering who the young man steering at the start was until you explained at the end........for one moment we thought perhaps you had found him on a new mobile app for canal boaters catering to the shared interest in locks and paddles......naturally it would have to be called "Winder"! lol
@@FoxesAfloat I don't know how long you two have had RU-vid videos but I'm glad 😊 I found it. When I started first watching narrow boat RU-vid videos there was only one then eventually more began to crop up on RU-vid. I'm living vicariously through narrow boaters like y'all. We don't have those here in the United States that I know of unfortunately. Hope you both have a wonderful holiday season!
Really enjoyed watching! The drone footage is spectacular at Hawkesbury Junction. It was a good thing you were walking and saw the boat coming to let Shaun know! Glad you guys are okay! Well at least you got your coal back...that certainly was strange. And...no need for a mars bar...I hit liked 😊 although I'll get some for the one's who disliked your video! Always great to see you both & Otis of course, please give him cuddles for me! 💖Thank you...take really good care, stay well & stay safe! x
Y’cant say that!!! , One of the funniest episodes the looks on Sean’s face are fantastic a bit like a maiden Aunt being goosed, Thank you both for cheering me up no end, That other boater would have been sworn at by me so well done both for being so patient with him, Otis is looking in fine fettle and is clearly living the life of Reilly (whoever he was), I’m looking forward to next week’s episode now, Stay safe both .
G'day guys, thanks so much, 50 odd years ago I used to go canaling with my family, I now travel the canals vicariously through you, I really miss my time on the water ,sadly no canals here in Aust.
Yikes, rude boaters. Glad you two were able to steer clear. Scooby-Doo Mystery... Junk... LOL Love you both +1. As usual my spirits have been lifted - thank you!
Ooh boy! Y’all bring back a lot of memories! My mum has been gone since 2016, and y’all are using phrases that she used to when she was alive, even as many years she lived in the states. It’s all good though! Good memories. Even remember my grandparents using them. How about “ooo-wah!” and “donkey’s years.” Oh my....good memories that brings a smile to my face. Thank you from west Texas!
Another great video and slightly different this time with lots of movement (on the water that is). The houses on the side of the canal are just beautiful, I get quite envious of the people living there. I do hope you guys find somewhere comfortable to stay while the canals are closed and once again, thanks so much for making my Saturday mornnings special. I get up at 6.00am and have a cup of tea while watching your video. I am sure Mum will love this one.
@@FoxesAfloat Well guys, I rang my dear Mum last night, ( I am in Australia and Mum lives in Somerset), because she had not replied to my email. She is 90yrs and absolutely loves your videos, so much that she forgets to check her emails because she is too busy watching you. I think that is woderful because I told her about you only a month or so back, thank you so very much. She was quite angry with the chap who nearly hit you. She says you are both terrific, so well done.
We asked for more Otis last week and lo and behold - the little guy was all over this week's vlog. Thank you so much. Now hurry north and don't get stuck behind any construction.
Sending you both and Otis our thoughts and love. We are very sorry for your loss, Shaun. We will continue to watch and keep you in our prayers. Thank you for your videos, that are always great and very informative.😊❤️
Fantastic to watch and listen. I love your various choices of music as well. I’m currently Homebased and miss being on my narrowboat so it’s the best I can get to being on the canal is watching your videos. Fantastic work you’re doing there in keeping us entertained.
Thank you for such a lovely vlog in an increasingly stressful world. Your pace of life and good humour is very restorative and healing. Kind regards, David O'. 💗💕💖❤️
Both of you never fail to put a smile on my face and cheer me up. Thanks for sharing your journey especially now you have Otis with you. The speeding boater done my head in . . . Can’t believe how reckless and uncaring people can be. Anyway stay safe and looking forward to next weeks video already.
I thought I was watching some WWII naval battle with the "full steam ahead" command on that other narrowboat. Geez. It's very cool to start recognizing many of these places from your previous videos, as well as that of other narrowboaters. Stay safe during "Lockdown Part Deux".
Not many people on RU-vid get their junk out for us to see, so thank you for that! Phnaar! Phnaar! I did notice it mostly consisted of wine bottles Too! ;)
At first I thought that I was drunk again when I saw Matt on the tiller and then Shaun. Then I remembered Collins weird sense of humour. Very well edited video as usual: entertaining, instructive and funny. Thank you so much for the few minutes of entertainment. I needed that in this depressive times. Take care and keep healthy.
Another great vlog! Silver Fox Friday is one of the highlights of my week. Much needed stress reducer with everything going on here in the US. Can’t belief how big Otis has gotten. Love your outtakes but, after following y’all for so long, I have to ask ... how often does Shawn say “You can’t say that”? Makes me laugh every time! Stay safe and healthy especially with the latest lockdown there. Pats for Otis. Cheers from South Carolina!
Another enjoyable, informative journey with the 'three' of you; thank you Colin, Shawn and "Otis". Otis was a special gift to me in that I lost my Cody (Cockapoo, age 15) on Oct. 22nd. A little girl, Suzy (Cavapoo), is due to arrive in our home and hearts on December 10. Colin and Shawn, you did well to invite Otis into your lives after your loss of Dillon. Again, thank you for taking us on a 'delightful' trip ... your humour and chuckles are more than welcome. (from Canada)
Honestly at the start of this video I thought you got rid of Shaun. Thank goodness it was only another narrowboater 😊 props to you and Shaun for handling that speedy gonzales well, that GoPro footage was some clenching moment 😳. I love how Otis sticks his head over the side of the covers soooo cute 🥰 onto 129
STOPPING AT SPRING WOOD MARINA TO GET FUEL & WATER ITS A SCOOBY DOO B DOO YOU GUYS ARE ADVENTUROUS AND JOLLY ESPECIALLY NOW LOCKDOWN HERE & GIVING US SOME FUN THANKS & WATCHED 3 SO FAR
Those coal thieves weren’t too bright (nor honest....). I live in Canada, and even I know how great British CCTV footage is! Hope they get their comeuppance! All the best to you, Shaun, Colin, wee Otis, and the Mystery Man! You make my Fridays wonderful!
Love the landscape around you guys. Have a safe trip and next time, post someone to stay behind and watch your coal, as you take it back to your boat. With Winter coming, you guys need to keep warm.
Always the highlight of my vloging week to catch up with you two. Brilliant detective work on your part to recover your coal - very suspicious behaviour of the part of the light fingered lot. Beautiful scenery and as zany entertainment as usual. Best wishes to you three. P.S. I really thought that Speed Gordon was going to mow Shawn down 😳
💚 Playful start! Reminds us all to have a sense of humour. Thanks for the giggles. Oh & also for the perfect length of a video - so numerically satisfying.
Hi Guy's ,excellent vlog as always.. Speeding boater was just totally oblivious to how fast he was going and with no warning signal before he approached the bridge, Good job you where on foot Colin.... Good job Shaun could take evasive action but only just enough room..... He didn't even acknowledge you and completely oblivious of what he was doing.... I'm sure that the occupant in the bow section of the boat had some terse words with the errant cox !!! I'm sure she thought he was going to hit you :( You Guys STAY SAFE and I hope your where you need to be with the boat yard during Lock down... Best wishes and Best Regards Old Skipper :) xx
Thought you had press ganged Matt into service on your boat for a minute. I see the Indian summer has finally deserted you !! 👍 as ever gents, stay safe.
Dry stone walling ancient art and you smashed it, Colin. What an excellent result, you should be well pleased with yourself. As for Shauns and your giggles in the outtakes, what a tonic. Got me laughing again xx 💕🐾
What a nutter on that boat even the people on the boat looked scared. Report them to the CRT although guess there isn't anything they can do..... to busy nicking coal lol
wow another area that Ive narrowboated, lovely memories thank you. Vlog full of allsorts, and all sorted. Love seeing Otis running his little socks off on the canal path ---oh is that why you needed socks with your shopping. Keep safe and warm you 3 xxx
I have always been fascinated by narrow boats and have watched several vlogs by I love yours. I love the history you include in each segment and the two of you give a smile every time. Please keep up the good work and I send greetings from Ontario Canada.
Your narrative is so at my level, hope you get a good place to bunk down on lockdown! Good luck from the Sands family in Southern Ontario from an internal exile from Newcastle! We did the Llangloyn? canal in 2018...our young son loved it!
With everything that is going on in the US, creating a lot of stress for everybody, it's nice to watch your YT channel for a break 😊 from the yelling 🤬and screaming😡 going on here in the United States. That being said, Christmas 🎅🏻 is less than 2 months from today 🎄
Love the informative chat about the canals..but would love to see the places you visit also..maybe when you are exploring..or going to the cafe's nearby...
