On Sunday 12th August 2018, we made our first ever visit to the delightful Narrow Gauge Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway in Lincolnshire, and we rode the line from Lakeside to Cleethorpes via Humberston and return, hauled throughout by the magnificent 2009 built LNER 04 Class 6284. If the Driver sees this video, I must apologise for the late upload to RU-vid, but when I returned back to my digs, I found I couldn't us the Internet provided to upload...anyway enjoy.

Visited the railway at the Gala on 13th July 2019. Day trip from Manchester to see it. My first time to Cleethorpes. The railway definitely was the highlight. It is a wonderful credit to all who run it. Thank you for a great day out!

Thanks both, we just came across this as we arrived at Cleethorpes, and were shocked to see a steam loco arrive for our journey, as these are often diesel hauled....Best wishes....Bob

It was a long way from Home Brian, but an area of the UK we haven't seen much of. We enjoyed it very much and were lucky with the weather on most days. It was a real treat to see this ROD loco and the Driver had nothing but praise for her...Many thanks...Regards...Bob

Very good that you have ventured to Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway (the opposite coast to your Welsh Wales!) and l wholeheartedly agree about 6284. On one occasion l paid for a Driver Experience session and was lucky enough to drive her! Good filmed account. Regards, Kay

If there wasn't the driver to give scale, you'd think that was the full size thing wouldn't you. Makes a very realistic clanking too. That's a very impressive station they've got there.

Very true Andrei, it was a wonderful surprise when she came into the station, a magnificent loco. The Driver told me she's the best loco on the Railway....Bob

Hard work along uneven track takes it's toll Nigel, no doubt the Railway's engineers will improve it when it goes in for repairs. Thanks for watching.

It’s actually not narrow gauge it’a 15 inch. Most locos are 15* standard gauge. But some are 15* narrow gauge. For example Effie is 15 inch gauge but but based of a narrow gauge loco! Same for the 04 it’s 15 inch gauge but based of a standard gauge loco. 😀🚂
