An excellent video of the narrow gauge railway, - l have thurly enjoyed every minute of it, also nice weather as well which makes it even better, so many thanks for all who made this trimendous video l say well done 👍👍 .

Glad you enjoyed it. My wife and I are trying to ride all the railways of the Uk, we have been doing this for 51 years now. We still keep finding new ones, lol! We love to film them as a record of our visit. Subscribe to my channel to see what we get up to this year. Regards Chris and Rosie.

Hi Bob...Beautiful Wales,my favourite part of it as well..You wouldn't believe it was Easter last year that we were riding the Talyllyn,same weather as this year,how things have changed.I'm not holding out any hope of any trips out this year.So sad......Best wishes Chris

Chris, started riding the narrow gauge in 1961 on the Tallyllyn, the Festiniog and the Vale of Rheidol, still doing it.........heavenly!........

All the Welsh N/G railways have a certain charm about them but the Talyllyn is our favourite.We started riding these N/G railways on our honeymoon 48 years ago..Roll on when we can ride them again Peter....Best wishes Chris

wooltman Chris, bit ahead of you there , we got married 53 years ago but I didn't get my wife hooked on railways until 51 years ago when we rode the Festiniog, thankfully she is now a devotee........!

Who else thought the locomotive was going to derail at 11:16 where the switch was not aligned?

Not me. these points are known as Spring points, they push over and spring back into position ready for the backward movement. It saves having a lever, also saves the fireman getting off and pulling the set of points over. The driver and fireman know which ones are spring and which are pulled over by hand or by a signalman.
