I'm really happy you've adopted OTIS. My childhood memories of our Golden Cocker Spaniel include her ears getting messy from dipping in her dinner as she ate. Mum's solution was to keep them up during mealtimes with wooden clothes pegs! We had her for more than 14 marvellous years, and she travelled everywhere with us in the Austin A40, head out the window, ears flapping.

If there is a doggy heaven, (and I wish there is) then it’s probably a huge, endless waterway, with something new every day and being loved by two kind, gentle peeps. In other words, he’ll be living a perfect life just like his time on Earth. Otis seems to be shaping up beautifully, what a joyous, lovely dog.

Really pleased you have found a new companion & crew member. It was a shock when Dillon passed. He always struck me as a happy, enthusiastic and kind dog, who took the transition from landlubber to captain of your vessel in his stride. Always out working hard supervising, helping when you did locks, making sure you did them correctly, checking out mooring site to ensure they were suitable. He will be missed but Otis looks more than capable of filling that gap. Keep on vlogging.

We were very much the same when our beloved Ella died- We thought we may never get another dog but the house was just so empty without a dog living here so we did not take long to bring another Whippet into the household and just love him to bits. That was THE perfect vlog in so many ways😀. Firstly Otis. I totally understand why you got another dog so soon. Been there many times and you have to fill that great big empty feeling again. You 2 were doing well in your vlogs but this week you can see a big change in both of your faces. He is gorgeous and you are loving it. Henley is a lovely place to be. Looking at those houses it was hard to believe it was England. Beautiful filming on beautiful days too. My dog fell head first in the Thames when she was young very near where you were moored. She learned a lesson quickly that you can’t step onto water 😂. Oh and Superman could never be under dressed in Henley 😉. Thanks for a brilliant vlog. I was so sorry to hear about Dhillon, and Otis is absolutely beautiful 💞🐾. We lost two of our old guys - one about this time in August last year, and the other in January. My family had a golden Cocker named Corky. I often proposed changing his name to Velcro. He loved my husband and rarely left his side. His ashes are buried with my husband.
