@Notperfecttonya Right. The list is so long it's absurd. They say it's about protecting those who are underage. However, if that was truly the case, they would shut down every family blogger on YT. Kids can not consent to having their entire lives exploited for money. YT is only doing it because they want to appeal to the advertisers, and be as "advertising friendly" as possible. It's all about the money. And it always will be🤷♀️

I think it every time I watch your videos and it struck me on your latest Tarte video, wow, this must take you FOREVER and it’s sooo helpful. No one else (that I’ve seen) does it, and it’s really amazing. Your reviews are so thorough and above and beyond and it’s incredibly appreciated! I was about to buy that Nars eyeshadow palette for pick up because I loved how it looked online but the way you explained it and swatched it, I’m thinking twice because you mentioned only two mattes. I would have spent the $50 and only used two shades, and then possibly wasted the product returning it. Sorry I’m rambling but I just truly appreciate how thorough your personal thoughts, wear tests, swatches, comparisons are and thank you for taking the time to do it!

The reason creators don't do it is because, like you said, it takes so much time. I will often times spend 2-4 hours going through my palettes, swatching them, taking the photos, and editing the photos. It's so much work. I do it because I review luxury makeup, and I want my audience to know exactly what they're buying before they spend their hard earned money on it. I don't feel the review is a full review without that important info, especially now that we have reached the point where we have so much makeup and so much to choose from. It's important to know if you really need it. So, I really do appreciate you taking the time to comment. It means so much🩷 (Look at me, now I'm rambling hahaha🤣 Great minds 😘)

Thank you Tara!! I think NARS is unfairly judged for keeping the line - it's an annual collection alongside their spring-summer releases and doesn't replace anything else!
It will be interesting to see if the new social media guidelines affect NARS naming conventions as no one is that excited about the name. The crazy thing with RU-vid’s new rules is that cutting down on language that Americans find offensive doesn’t solve the real problem of the misinformation and intolerance being promoted.

I purchased the 4 play quad blush this week, and have fair to medium skin tone. My trick is to use a thicker brush for the lighter pink and looser brushes for the darker colours to disperse the pigment more evenly. Makes a huge difference as you can build the darker colour without it looking so bold. Ps. Love your eye look!
I have a lot of eye shadow palettes (too much) but not a single one from Nars. I just bought this palette “rising” and watched this review and it was interesting when u mentioned it was redundant because my collection consists of ND and PML so I don’t know much about the Nars collection (with the exception of blushes). I watched a review u had from last year and the year before for a Nars palette and u are so right. They look similar to eachother. It works for me because I don’t have one from Nars but now I know why some RU-vidrs have been screaming “Again?”. Lol

I fell for this when I was in Ulta on Saturday. After I got home and went to use the eyeshadow palette, I wish I would have saved my money and just bought the cheek palette only. I have the O Multiple stick, this isn’t new and I don’t know why they are acting like it is. I bought my Multiple stick last winter. I don’t love it, but it’s not terrible.

Not at you, but because I turn on videos while I am doing other things, I had no idea what was going on because I missed what you put on the screen instead of hearing it. I have the eyeshadow and face palettes I haven’t used the eyeshadow but you are correct I have a dark/deep complexion and I can use all the shades I love it
This collection is so beautiful I am not sure I will be getting it since I do have all of the shades in my other palettes but it is so beautiful. That lip gloss is beautiful I think I will be getting that one on the next sale

I respectfully disagree about that blush palette being best for tan to deep skin tones. I have owned Orgasm and Orgasm X in mini blushes for years and I have no problem with the tones. It's just a matter of how heavy handed every one uses the product. I am happy that you do think tan to deep skin tones can use it, but....only those.....no gorgeous. ❤ I am sorry but I did have fun watching you try to do a whole video trying NOT to use the O word. LOL
I have Skin Deep palette, released 2019 and it still works great. Nars has good eyeshadow formula but their names are just weird. I'm not ashamed of these words but using it for makeup is kind of weird. Orgasm, deep throat, climax... maybe Nars CEO is a fetishist 😀
I'm over the orgasm range and I'm definitely over the orgasm name. It's now become immature and silly - stop it Nars!!! If the cream blushers do NOT contain any shimmer, I might get those. Maybe many of them don't know. I'm not sure. I posted the Google docs link to the list that RU-vid provided. They just made the changes January 1st. I received an email from YT regarding it.
So much for free speech. Personally, I think being able to say what we want and not allowing PEOPLE to control our most simple and valuable God given rights is much more valuable than any amount of money. But again, that's me. But I do wonder, how much are people willing to give up. I do like your videos, Tara but that intro set me off. Being "influencers" I hope RU-vidrs realize what they're actually doing. I wish you well.
What are they gonna do? A lot of youtubers do youtube full time so they can't get their videos demonetized or else how are they gonna pay the bills and feed their families? If your livelihood is affected by stuff like this there is only so much you can do
@@afooraamoora5611 I understand that. But, what's going to happen in the long run, the big picture, will effect much more than their livelihood. Again, I don't expect them to do anything but what they do. It takes great strength sometimes to do the right thing but first one must realize what that is. I'm not trying to bash anyone. It's just how I see it.
I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm all for free speech, and I am grateful I live in a country that allows me that have right🙏 But, RU-vid has tied our hands. If we say, "Screw it, I'm saying what I want," our videos will be demonetized, and we get nothing. We depend on compensation, especially from google ads. It keeps us going, not only buying products to review, but getting paid for the time. Now, I don't depend on YT for my family income. If YT was gone tomorrow, i would be fine financially. However, for many or most creators, that is not the case. They depend on this income as their full-time job. And, it's not only about the Google ad money, but, more importantly, the YT algorithm. If we say the words and keep continuing to do it, and being demonetized, the algorithm will bury our channels. Our channels will be shadow banned. That's a slippery slope to come back from. Once your channel is shadow banned, coming back from that is nearly impossible and would potentially require you to start fresh with a whole new channel. There are so many layers to this. We basically either comply to the rules, or there's no point in having the channel at all. That's the truth of it😢
