Cannnnnot get enough of this! I swear the “older” face products I try tend to be my faves - I totally get why they have huge followings and why they’ve been around for so long! Any other tinted moisturizers I should try? (Plz with more than 1-3 shades 😂)
It's not a tinted moisturizer but Thrive has an awesome CC cream and I love it more than this one from NARS. It doesn't feel heavy or stay crazy dewy. The Lancome Skin Feels Good is nice as well but only 12 or so shades.
This is my ride or die holy grail product. Been using this for years!! You can definitely build it up for a medium coverage, it looks very natural, and leaves a nice dewy finish. I usually set it with tons of powder because I have oily skin.
An ENTIRE Lifesaver. The flash test is INTEGRAL. It's why I stopped wearing foundation. The bait and switch of undertones and flashback is too complex for my minimal self. Thank youuuu
I got a sample of this from Sephora in the shade “Malaga”. OMG! I was extremely pleased with it. My face looked naturally flawless and I have combination skin. I just used a matte setting powder and it lasted all day. It’s in my cart, waiting to be purchased with the VIB starts in a couple of weeks!
Hello ma’am,, I was in Malaga but don’t know which shade should I buy as they have changed their shade range n names. Will you please suggest me one? Thank you 🙏🏼
@@khushbupatel793 Hi! I’m so lost and confused now that the shades have changed. I stopped wearing NARS because I can’t find a shade match anymore, except in the Sheer Glow Foundation. I’m “Bahia”.
what an amazing coincidence! I just found your channel a few days ago and we're the same shade so I was so happy I found your channel. Most people I see on youtube are not our shade so m super thankful for what youre doing! Also I was considering getting this last week. I have dry skin though, so i'm definitely going to get this one for summer.
I was turned on to NARS by a Sephora employee because she said they cater very well to people with olive/yellow undertones so I just picked this up in my winter shade yesterday (Alaska), and it’s the perfect undertone! I’ll have to find a new shade when I get tan in the summer..but this review makes me excited to try it! I used to have oily skin in my 20s but now that I’ve hit 30 seems like my face has become a lot more dry, so I hope the formula works! 🤞
Samantha Jane kinda bummed unfortunately it was too dry for my skin. I need a dewy finish, cuz at first everything looks fine but throughout the day my face soaks up the product and I end up looking dry and flaky by the end of the day..my hunt must continue for the perfect everyday product!
I’m literally wearing this today 😂 Been a staple in my collection for years! I’m a MAC NC45 & i wear malaga. with a dense brush, i can get it to about medium coverage.
Willa Anderson I am decluttering it. The coverage is too light for me and there is no spf for the summer. It is not moisturizing at all, so it lasts longer.
@@Gabi13017 Interesting! Last I saw online it has 20 spf, but I don't know if that's a recent change or not? I've heard really mixed things about it. Some people swear by it, and others hate it. Edit: Out of curiosity, I checked the Canadian Sephora website and saw that the same product didn't have spf listed, so I wonder if depending where you are it is a similar situation to the Nars one, like Samatha talks about in the video.
Willa Anderson yes bought in Canada, Canada has stricter spf laws, so confusing. If you have oily skin and don't need to cover anything you might like it. It feels like a very sheer foundation to me. I mainly need more coverage. I had to moisturize first, then tried to layer it, then had to conceal and was still not happy so I put powder foundation over. So much work lol defeats the purpose of it!Plus this did oxidize on me pretty bad, so I would suggest get a sample if you can.
Willa Anderson I loved it. I’m from the US and our version has SPF20. I have combination skin and I kept a bit of a shine but it wasn’t enough for me to dislike. I just used a blotting sheet. The only reason I’m purchasing NARS is because there’s an ingredient in the LM Tinted Moisturizer that caused pimples on my face. So I can only use it every blue moon and I’ll just get a sample from Sephora for those moments.
This is my fave TM ever! I’ve been using it for three years and I reach for it all the time! Plus I find my skin is clearer the more I use it, so I guess the ingredients don’t bother my skin at all! :)
Thankyou for reviewing this!! After talking to you about it on insta I picked up a sample and I'm going to try it out today 😂. Thanks for being so thorough in your reviews❤️. I'm confused about the SPF thing tho! I thought I saw spf 30 on the Sephora Canada site, but I'll have to check again!
I ♥️ this tinted moisturizer... it's more full coverage if you want it to be. Soooooooooooo good. I use the color St. Moritz. (MAC NC 35 usually can go up when tanned) (Hourglass Vanish stick color Golden,)
ROUX!!!!! I mean, hi Samantha! :D Excellent video - I've recently been considering making a tinted moisturiser from my favourite foundation, moisturiser, a drop of hyaluronic acid and maybe a drop of vitamin E oil. I wish there were more tinted moisturisers with better shade ranges. Excellent video as always - Happy Easter!!
Unfortunately I think the velvet matte skin tint is being discontinued :/ which sucks cause I never got to try it, but I’ll definitely be trying this because every time I think your skin looks great and you have what you’re wearing listed in the down bar, it’s this!
Great video. I love this product. I think for the quality and quantity it is actually a very good deal. I'm around NC 42 in winter and NC44 in summer. I find the peachy undertone in Annapurna works for me all year long. I also like mixing this in with my foundations it adds a little something. You did not mention the scent? I like it but I think you normally comment on scent. Great review- very thorough as always.
Just started using this and truthfully I love it!! For years I was wearing Mac foundation (Nc44) but recently I've felt it was no longer the look i preferred. I needed and wanted more of the natural glow look. Something that had my skin looking and feeling smooth yet refreshed and thank the Lord for the beauty consultant at Ulta Beauty because she found exactly what i was looking for. Now when i apply this i do add/blend a little NYX Born to Glow illuminator on my cheeks to give my look that little extra glow/bronze. I'd definitely recommend this product.
It looks beautiful on you! I used to love tinted moisturizers but stopped using them when my skin was freaking out. I might pick this up and try it out for summer! Your skin looks amazing! Great review ❤️
You are GORGEOUS! I love this one too, and I'm a fellow oily skinned gal. I wear the shade 'Terre Neuve' Light 0; I feel it's a decent match for me, but if you're any paler than I am, it would definitely be too dark. Like most foundation ranges, there's always room for improvement , I think! This looks absolutely beautiful on you! Subscribed. 😘❤️
Sounds like a good summer foundation that would be light and comfortable in the heat and humidity. When Summer hits here it is usually above 90 and at least 90% humidity.
Great review! The product looked so pretty on your skin! Your skin looks really good too! 😍 I’m definitely going to get shade matched today! I’ve been looking for a new tinted moisturizer for this coming spring/summer season. Thank you for this video! 🙏🏾
Wow cazy how literally just today i thought I'd try this tinted moisturizer but decided I'd watch some reviews first before purchasing, and yours came out! Perfect timing! & i trust your review so I'll head out to the store tomorrow
I used my Sephora VIB to purchase this item thanks 🙏🏾 to your recommendation! I was surprised it was so small 😳 it blends well, though. I find that Laura Mercier translucent glow setting powder helps gives off a similar glow that your primer gives. You have a gorgeous glow!!!
This is my favorite base product! Well-tolerated by my sensitive combination skin, and such a nice finish. I rediscovered it a few months ago, and haven’t stopped using it since 😋 I do find the shades to be a bit off, I had to go lighter than usual. It fades nicely through the day, plays so well with other products too. P.S. I LOVE your freckles! I used to use the bare minerals complexion rescue, and that was decent.
I'm so glad you did this video! I am usually one shade lighter than you in almost all foundations and I was thinking of getting this shade during the sale based on their shade description of medium with neutral undertones! I guess this range runs a little dark thank you!
Great review with one of my new favorite products I really enjoy NARS products. I was just wondering what powder do you recommend to powder this with ? My NARS has SPF in it thanks.
Love this! I work for NARS Cosmetics in the U.S. and I love seeing our products reviewed! I would love for you to try the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer shade in Cuzco mixed with the NARS Liquid Laguna Bronzer. It's the bomb! 🙌
Oh awesome!! I tried the Laguna Bronzer in store and was so sad because it was basically the same shade as my skintone - hoping they launch some new shades!
@@samanthajaneyt Bummer! Maybe try again in winter mixing it into Cuzco. I would love to see more shades as well. I'm sure that is in the works. We have just launched new bronzer shades in addition to new matte Bronzing shades. Also, there is a new Laguna Lip Balm and Oil Infused Lip Tint and Powerchrome loose eyeshadow pigments that are beautiful! I would love to see you review some of those! Take care!
Christine Puccillo I’m happy with this shade, don’t wanna spend the extra money to mix two together but if they launch some new bronzer stuff I will for sure
Hi Samantha, love your videos! Thank you for your honest reviews. I was wondering what kind of lighting and camera setup do you use. Could you please share the details? Thank you so much xx
You're my shade match and I got annapurna too...i got it before you made a review though so because you hadn't tried it out I had some difficulty choosing my foundation for once. 😂 I'm oily and it does get super shiny around the t zone by afternoon but nothing a powder can't fix :)
Omg I really want this now 😭 I'll wait to see your review on the matte one if you do one, but that vib sale is coming up soon so who knows what I'll do!
How do you compare the NARS tinted moisturizer to the Sephora Collection tinted moisturizer? Please continue reviewing them. I like light (not sheer) tinted moisturizers, but it is hard to find one that will cover my rosacea, last on my oily skin, and look skin-like at the same time.
It looks really good on you and wore well. I tried it and it just melts off, it doesn't really set even with a primer and powder. Glad it works for you💜
I wear the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint in Medium 1.5/Cuzco. I could have sworn you had the Velvet Matte Skin Tint in your monthly makeup basket several months ago and was hoping to get your thoughts. Btw my cat loves hopping into shopping bags too.
I'm debating on getting this Nars tinted moisturizer or the Bareminerals Complexion Rescue... Anyone has tried both? If so, please tell me which you prefer!
I've been trying it out to for about a month lol I'm over foundation. I can't wear it in winter either so time to upgrade and get a good tinted moisturizer!
Looks sooo lovely on you. Unfortunately I need heavy coverage for my hyper-pigmentation scars & my freckles as I'm Indian / Irish. Maybe I'll try the Nars radiant foundation.
I used to wear this bb cream all the time a few years ago and I stopped using bb cream after I finished it, I really want to use that again now, have you already tried the matte version of this bb cream ? It's more recent than this one
Maybe I shouldn't try anything under medium coverage. My face is covered in acne scars; I think sheer to light coverage products just wont have a strong enough effect to warrant a purchase. But Maybe I'm wrong, perhaps light coverage coupled with a medium to full coverage concealer looks better than medium to full coverage foundation with full coverage concealer. Haven't tried that. I'll stick to medium to full coverage though. I think I would just end up using the concealer all over my face as borderline foundation.
I really want to try this. Do you think if would be good for Orlando weather? Heading there next month and looking for something nice that won't run off my face. This looks really good on you!
Hi beautiful!🤍 Is this product something you still wear? If so, do you still use the same color? I never got around to buying it and am fixing to go soon to purchase.☺️
I’m not buying anything at the moment - I wanted to try it years ago but I’ve kinda lost interest and try to review things that have better shade ranges/more availability. Kinda tricky to get in Canada
I have been on a hunt for a great tinted moisturizer! I just wish I could find a good drugstore one. Right now I just mix my fav foundation with moisturizer to sheer it out but it will only last a couple hours on my skin before it disappears 😭 I might need to just bite the bullet and get a good quality one!
That’s so funny because I’m NC42 and wear the the same shades as Samantha in other brands but my shade for this is Cuba! Sephora matched me with the color ID thing but I’m going to try both St Moritz and this shade to see if one of them is a better match. I don’t always trust Sephora color matches - they matched me as honey in too faced born in this way and that is way too peach for my yellow/golden undertones!!!
hi im a little late to this video which was very helpful and i love how thorough you are you're absolutely lovely! i was hoping someone could still help me out, i purchased this one in malaga because it looked accurate on the website but in real life it was way darker so its a little too dark and kinda orange on me, if i dont build up much of the product i can kinda get away with it, but could anyone tell me which shade i should go for if i want one shade lighter? i cant go in stores so im having a hard time deciding which one i should pick..
