I agree. I think I'm in love with Inoue Kazuhiko-sama's voice actually. :) First time I heard him was as Yuki Eiri in Gravitation... and he also did Fruits Basket's Hatori (among many many others of course). His voice is simply amazing. :)
Dear God O.O, that Japaneses have some crazy talented voice actors, I mean 12 year old Naruto is one thing, but the teen versions sound really male, I mean good I was shocked O-O
@dbz1283 Originally they kept her voicing goku with the same voice he had as a kid because Goku became a symbol of eternal youth in japan, also because she became VERY popular dubbing the original Dragonball. No one in japan imagine anyone else as the voice of Goku.
its somewhat adding miss or mister to anybody. japanese are very polite people chan - usually for someone younger kun - for boys showing affection or something san - miss or somewhat like that
its because their voices match the character more than themselves, because they don't really always talk with that same voice, but doing so is fun, especially in a bus full of otakus
@SMGJohn : is that part of them custom or it just goes like that naturaly?, and many of the voice that fill with female voice are the main caracters like this naruto and songoku, what seiyuus mean?
Junko san is amazing, Inuoe san is cool as ever. I wish I get to meet those 2 .Maile does a great job as the english Naruto but not as good as Junko san.She has awesome range.
Naruto's English voice actor is a woman too. Timmy Turner's (Odd Parents) was also voiced by a woman. It's proably because the shows are done over a few years and a boy's voice would change too much, so women tend to voice younger male characters.
wow... it's great.. junko is so kawaiii.... i can't imagine how can it be Naruto's seiyuu was her.. bcoz i always watch naruto and when he was angry in any fight, his voice wasn't like a girl at all ! junko is kawaiii... :3
because the voice needs to fit the character it doesnt matter the sex, which is why japanese voice work is centuries ahead of american dubs they just hire nobodies of the street not professional voice actors.,
As i have found, (I've only started to learn some Japanese) -Chan...would be used on the end of a little girls name, like Sakura-Chan. -San.....would be used for a (more) adult and less 'Cute' way, -Kun (I believe....please correct me if i'm wrong) is only used for boys, Naruto-Kun, and Sasuke-Kun, -Sama, is used in a respectful way (like when talking to royalty, or someone important) Gaara-Sama, Hime-Sama.......Got it? :D
It's funny that in the US version of DB, Freeza is voiced by a female and Goku is voiced by a male. But in Japan, Goku is voiced by a female and Freeza is voiced by a male.
yeah quite some women play male voices but males also dub male voices xP (but usually the younger, premature one's are dubbed by women and deeper voices by men (I SAID USUALLY THO xP))
Cuz all humans were born sounding like female yet only guys' voice change significantly when hitting puberty. while its easy for females to fake male voices, its near impossible for the reverse to be done. trust me, if it's doable, it'd have been rather common by now...
@kimmokimmu she did do a young woman character in a 1971 anime named Ashita no joe: she have a very pretty female voice and her voice acting is superb, I think it was episode 69, The girl she plays wears a pink top and blue jeans, she pretty much appears 7 mins on the video, The video is uploaded at veoh, google it or search at veoh, search for (ashita no joe 69). Go 40 years back in time baby
@KrazyxAzian let do the Bleach character first: Kurosaki Ichigo - Morita Masakazu Kuchiki (did i spell it right.....) Byakuya - Okiayu Ryoutaro Abarai Renji (hope I spell their name right....) - Ito Kentaro Kira (forget last name...) - Sakurai Takahiro hitsugaya toushirou - Paku Romi Ayasegawa yumichika - Fukuyama Jun
