The Area 51 thing warmed my ❤ as the Christmas before the raid my younger brother passed away. He and I were big scifi fans plus the event happened on his birthday. It was heartwarming and I felt very nostalgic in a good way.
Time just keeps going by quicker and quicker. It's unbelievable!!!! I feel so nostalgic thinking back on the past. It's so much that it hurts at times.... I almost couldn't watch degrassi next generation (90s one) again because it hurt so much thinking back on how things will never be the same.... I miss being young so much, being an adult is the worst... I wish I had real friends. Everyone these days are mega boring, don't do anything or use their wife as an excuse not to live their own life

I actually planned on going but between the cost for the flight and the lack of available hotel accomodations, I ended up changing my mind. In hindsight I'm glad I stayed home instead of going to what could've been fyrefest 2.0

It fun, got a ride in a real alien spaceship. The tour of the alien bodies was kinda gross but educational. Tickets were expensive! Base made some mad cash on that one.

Every time this gets brought up I’m reminded of a prank I pulled on a bunch of new soldiers we had at the time. I was in the Army when this happened, and I was assigned to a medical company. Kinda like what you seen in MASH, except we didn’t have surgical capabilities. We were more like a mobile ER/urgent care out of tents and had our own “ambulances” to transport patients. Anyways, we were assigned to be on domestic response for any chemical, nuclear, or biological attacks/incidents that requested us as well as humanitarian aid for natural disasters. I started a rumor that we are being sent to Area 51 to provide medical care for everyone there. Told all the new guys to pack their bags and be ready to go at a moments notice. I got all the leadership in on it, so when those guys asked their squad leader if they were really going, they told them yes too and to go pack their bags. This went on for about a week, with different things being added on to the lie/rumor we told the new guys. Some people took it a bit farther and made their soldiers show up to the company with their packed duffel bags. The day before it was set to happen all the new guys were freaking out, asking “when are we going? How are getting there? Don’t we have to pack our treatment tents and supplies?” At that point we decided to tell them it was just a prank and that we weren’t going. Fun times.

Please don't advertise Fum as safe. There is absolutely no 'safe' alternate to smoking, you cannot safetly put substances into your lungs. There will always be a market for cigarette substitutes and thats great for people who are trying to quit, but its very misleading to call it safe.

Kinda fucked up how Matt pulled out in the last minute. Tbh I had no idea there was another event in Las Vegas but really messed up for the owner of the hotel that had a deal with Matt to be told "Hey, the plan is off -- go F yourself!"
