To simplify the process. Glue half the sheets of paper together, turn your pattern 95° and mark 2 on each cured stack of papers. Use a bandsaw to cut them out then glue the two halves together this way you waste less paper as well as each layer is the same and it creates a much stronger material. Using resin instead of white glue would be much better. Also you may want to use pressure on the papers to lessen the potential of air bubbles between the layers. Also I using resin you can make it out of one piece instead of multiple pieces. You can use one full sheet to make the blade, handle, and hoop in one piece. It will take more time shaping it but will make the integrity of the over piece much stronger in the long run. You can also reinforce it with a steel wire core so it will not snap as easily at the joins between the blade and handle as well as the handle and the hoop.
