Unfortunately, the chapter where Obito explains why he wants to do the Infinite Tsukuyomi is underestimated by many fans or they continue with the idea that he did everything for Rin. Rin's death only made it clear that the ninja system is corrupt, and Obito pretending to be Madara the decades after saw how the ninja world gave him no other reason not to do the plan. It should be remembered that Tobirama said that the Uchiha are very emotional and the more they hate, the more powerful they will be. Hashirama was the one who distributed the tailed beasts to the other villages as a balance of power, the villages started to turn people into jinchurikis and now with beasts that would be the equivalent of a nuclear bomb, world wars were more likely to happen. All the villages are concerned about having more military power even if it means leaving a small village in ruins (like the rain village was). Rin was a victim of the shinobi system, because although the third war was between Konoha and the stone village, the mist village intervened. Nagato, Obito and Madara's plan for peace is born from the fact that the ninja system only causes death and pain, but Obito and Madara believe that reality is meaningless and it is better to create a new world where everyone is happy.
@@houseofaction almost 2 decades or more than a decade it doesn't matter, the point is that Obito lived long enough to see if the ninja world made him change his mind but it wasn't the case. If he had really gone completely mad about Rin's death, after Madara told him the plan Obito would have already captured the jinchuriki (they were marginalized by their own villages and many of them ended up as deserters, that's why Akatsuki captured them easily). But unconsciously he expected some change considering the amount of years he spent to make the plan.
Amazingly said, just because he snaps when rin dies doesn’t mean he did all this stuff for her. Not saying it’s justified, but He was an orphan who was forced into war. Almost dies then when he wakes up madara starts manipulating him. That whole attack from the mist was set up by madara, also when people ask why is obito like that bro was kid of course if madara is around him. He’s going to become more like him. Basically all im saying is people love downplaying obito’s trauma. And the fact madara purposely messed him up more to mold him to what he is today.
Still now, in 2024, the kakashi v obito fight still stands up as one of THEE best animated sequences ever made! Literally everything about it is awesome from the fluidity to the choreography to the meaning behind it, they made it perfectly!
I love how Sarutobi, the one who taught Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade, and also the Hokage who led during Team 7’s childhood, is the one who sends them into battle on their summonings. Soooooo cool and satisfying 😭

30:31 Minato shot to finish thinking it was Madara... because 14 years ago in the village and he was sure that the masked man was Madara, only now did he see that it was Obito. And this is another revolt from Obito because even though he was Sensei, Minato didn't listen to him.
Its weird because Naruto has never shown any natural sensory ability before this point I think. Any time he was sensing chakra before he was always using sage mode, but now he is just supernaturally capable of high end chakra manipulation and sensing.
I feel like Obito not learning from the Kakashi fight and mentally snapping is his parallel to Naruto being talk-no-jutsu'd by Pain and giving in to the Nine Tails. The difference is Naruto had Minato to help him back on track. It really goes to show the importance of support systems and unconditional love. Or whateva.

i loved the Naruto Sasuke combo attack but always felt it should have looked better and done more damage. Remember the time Naruto used that jutsu on kakuzu it looked crazy!
This episode is amazing!!! I still think that Obito's reason for wanting to destroy the world is nonsense. Rin was definitely one of the main reasons he went crazy. Yes, he saw how corrupt the system was, but can't he understand that destroying the world to destroy the system is just as bad. Anyway, Obito is not a character I really like, considering his hax and reason for fighting, but his fight with Kakashi was amazing.

The amazing thing about the Kikashi v Obito fight is that it even influenced Michael B Jordan in his movie Creed III. I saw Creed and geeked out cause I knew exactly what was going on. It was amazing
Naruto animation has never looked better than in Obito vs Kakashi. Maybe in the last Sasuke vs Naruto but they lost me in that one when they summoned the megazords. I wasn't feeling the plot for quite some time already by then though.
