For me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, not to mention that they removed the jutsus selection completely from the beginning of the fight. 🤦🏻♂️ This game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻♂️
Jiraya one is a CRIME. I understand shortening the ultinates, but not toning them down SO MUCH. Orochimaru has the same one from Storm 2 without even a glance of the white snake, and did anybody notice that Tsunane UJ is the grab of Edo Hashirama lol?
@@themayhemera3046It was because after Storm 1 they wanted to focus more on competitive gameplay rather than fun gameplay so they removed all the gimmicks and made the game faster(even though the online was terrible at that time)
Sasuke’s ultimate in UNS 1 was the most badass!!! They did bring it back with the other 4, (now 4 more because Storm Connections.) but it isn’t as complex as it was in the very first game anymore because the QTE was discontinued. Still badass overall!

They shorted the Ultimate Jutsus because of Storm 2 online features. But I really think they should have kept the longer version of the jutsus at least as the "finish move" version.

OG Naruto used to have a shortened version of his original ultimate from UNS1 that was on the demo but they later changed it before the game officially released to the Uzumaki 2K Barrage he has now.
Keep in mind the changes were way before connections. And some of the faster versions retain the feel while others never return/get replaced or in the case of storm 3 EMS sasuke it was added to a version of sasuke in storm 4. Always good to play the old games to see what they change over the years
I can understand why the later Storm games looks like they sped-up the animations, it's so you can get right back into the action, but I liked the slower pace of the jutsu in Storm 1, more cinematic.
I wish that as the series went on the kept more cinematic versions of the ultimate jutsus. Then for online battles (and perhaps in the settings) they use the short version.
Storm 1 so much better, back when it was more like ps2 games when ultimates even had their own theme music Some of the Ultimates in Storm 2 and later are so bad, and the fact Connections didn’t change any old ultimates anything despite being so new is terroble
That’s what I been saying You give us 15 characters with new detailed ultimates but you leave all the old characters with the same ultimates sense 2009
This is not even a fair comparison, Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 was the beautiful combination of the new modern style the Naruto games were going while also keeping the best of the original games from PS2 era
A cool detail in Hiruzen's ult in UNS1 is that he progressively loses health because of the reaper. Which obviously would be removed in later games for competitive reasons

new games suck nowadays, ain't nothing made with a heart and shit, it's barely even made with money. But they get paid a lot from people buying the games that they make over 50 dollars.
For me the first ultimate ninja storm is the best showing the ultimate jutsus, give them a nice soundtrack and decent speed showing the technique, the rest games of the saga just show you the ultimate with the same music of the background and more faster making them feel like a generic technique
Storm was is better for simply being made in a superior era of gaming. The people who made the first one were actually passionate about Naruto. The people who made connections are probably just there for a check.

Connection is a Downgrade -Reduce environment Effect -Short awakening -Reduce Moveset again -Exclusive Ultimate Jutsu looks weak than Storm 4 -DLC 5 cha only -Boss Battle , better go play the old 1
