There are different versions of Tobi. First, Tobi is a wacky, bomb throwing guy with the ability of making attacks go right through him. But there's a dark side to him, as transformation, adding fire attacks. "Masked Man" is his permanent dark side, additionally using chains and teleportation. In the end, he claims to be Madara, using wood based attacks and wind attacks (with Madara's large fan). He's actually, and obviously, Obito.
New Stuff: New fireball jutsu for Masked Man and War Arc Tobi. Sadly, Masked Man and War Arc Tobi got boring awakenings. And no Combination Ultimate?! He's named Madara in UNSG and up, kinda funny, especially since in UNSG, Madara's backstory is explained with Obito's voice.

There must be a variating of Tobi (Obito) in Akatsuki variation with him actually being Obito.

Well, they never made him an actual character, only as an awakening to first Tobi. From Generations onward you have Masked Man and white mask Tobi, as well as true Obito from Storm Revolution onward.

I still remember thinking, "sure, it COULD be Obito, but that would be stupid. It would require a real stretch as to how he survived and he would be really dumb by barely changing his name." Looking back... Yep, still dumb. Sure, Tobi is cool and all. But it's like a common thug finding out Batman was secretly Bruce Wayne the playboy the whole time--the mystique is lost. And at least Bruce never called his hero identity "Wayne Bruceman."

I remember how Obito unmasked fanart appeared after Tobi was first shown, and everything else about this character felt like a lame distraction by the author because he made the name too obvious.

Fanartists predicted he's Obito since his very first appearence. And I suspect the writer only changed him claiming to be Madara because it was so early predicted.

I think the fire comes trough their fingers not from their mouths othewhise they would burn themselves from inside out they are not dragons after all

No it doesn't 😂😂😂😂 Katon jutsus come from the mouth, you can see all every occasion, Sasuke vs Orochimaru (forest of death), Sasuke literally burps fire to increase force Madara when he did Goukamekakyu, you can see where the fire comes out The hands signs are to diferenciate que jutsus, withe is a normal fireball, a dragon flame and etc Tobi does Katon with the mask because CC2 is ignorant In the Anime you never see him use any Katon until Naruto breaks his mask

Kinda like a smash move in Smash Bros. You move the stick towards the opponent quickly (don't keep holding it), then press the attack button right away. Takes some time to get used to it.

Simply move the movement key and press attack afterwards. (Move in any direction and press attack button once afterwards)

Because the voice wasn't the same Since he managed to unleash the Kyuubi, one might assume that maybe he wasn't playing when he said he was Madara Sharingan Kamui was new at the time and could be beliaveble that it was a superior Hiraishin, something that a genius like Madara could invent with time
