No, I wouldn’t say people ignored it. I’d say not everyone wakes up around the same time. Some grasped this song immediately, he understood. I for one, wasn’t seeing these things they’re speaking of…until I gave myself to God. It was then that I “woke” up, and realized that spiritual attacks are real! What I’m feeling is of another comprehension because God who resides in me, helps me know that He IS always with me 🙏🏼
Damian Marley was warning us about exactly whats happened recently, he warns about covid and our children been poisoned by what theyre taught, probably why this album wasnt given the publicity it deserved,he also mentions the healing powers of his culture and cancel culture of people who speak the truth 'the rich get stitched up, and get cut' its the best album ive ever heard. ❤
We born not knowing? Are we born knowing all? Are we growing wiser? Or we just growing tall? Can you read thoughts? Can read palms....up. Can you predict the future ? Can you see storms ..... coming? The earth was flat if you went to far you would fall off. Now the earth is round,if the shape changed again everybody would've start laugh. The average man can't prove of most of the things that he choses to speak of.
I feel ashamed that I haven’t found this after 11 years. What a beautiful song man. He is directly combating toxic mindsets, needs to happen way more often.
Dont say “who’s here in 2024” we never left. what a music right here a u t h e n t I c v i e w s dun took Nas oFf 2 da big leagues and fo dat I will always be super grateful
@but why not even top 100...guess why??? It was even closed on RU-vid for many years. Guess why again. The music industry doesn't want music like this much less in their fxxxxin top 100.let justin bieber be in their top 100 to manipulate children to become confused, depressed and suicidal. But even him tries... Think or leave your brain for the top ten pop music like wiggle wiggle wiggle or my banani wants your punani or what EVRRRR
Flat earth proves there is a God. That’s why we are not allowed to seek truth If we knew there’s a higher being. Even if it has no concern for us. We would all still rise up and stop following any man made ideals

Just now hearing this for the first time in 2024 button ☑️ …but for real, what an insanely deep, meaningful, and important song. I never knew Bob personally. However, I’d like to think he’d be proud of his son, Damien. I will say that I wish that he would make more rap music, because the industry could use, more now than ever, more content like this. 9/10 songs in pop, hip-hop, rap, and all other genres are filled with money hungry and soul corrupting stories and lyrics, meant to tear corrupt youth as they grow, destroy the family unit as it forms, and disrupt any established sense of good within society. Worst part is that they even have artist have a good message sometimes when they’re younger and then when they get older and reach their peak, they change the message slowly to a message that doesn’t do any good for humanity. If you’re an artist reading this, I hope you keep your love for creativity, independence, and humanity. In this day and age, you don’t need a label. You just need to learn how to market yourself, sell yourself, and create content that markets both you and your music directly to its target market. Like him or hate him, Kanye just made huge progress for independent artist, and was the first independent artist to be number 1 the way he was (yes, is is independent now, and made a big deal out of how labels corrupt the artist, and I’m not a fan of everything he says or does, but this was objectively good for humanity and artists, despite the song that did it being a terrible message in and of itself, as it was “CARNIVAL” that did it).
From the first time I went down until now, I was 27 years old from Saudi Arabia, Jeddah city, may God give me the Muslim, Bob Marley Olado, the Caribbean coast, Latin America and free Palestine.
Me! This Monday coming it’s been a year that my bf lost his life in a carcrash…2 days before the accident we were listening to this…🙏🏼✨🦋 I remember that day so we’ll…miss him so much

thanx...some people have got this NO I DONT-NO I WONT LIKE somethin or someone thinking that then they are greater in bein a hater....stand up and have the strength to LOVE instead....dont lose your soul over negativ vibes
The person singing background is called mariam, she doesn't see (blind) both with her husband... She is Malian... Sabaly Sabaly gnonteh... Means patience is the best...that is my language.. Spoken in 5 West African countries...
'This guy' lol... I mean, we've known this the whole time. Some people just think outside of their bubble of popular = good and that is ESPECIALLY incorrect right now, especially with this type of music pushed to the bottom because it educates and promotes thinking for yourself...-'they' don't want that. Anything but
Btw sorry, I only laugh because 'this guy' is Damien Marley, Bob's son and if Bob Marley wasn't about good music without extra BS, I don't know who is...
Nas looks majestic AF in this video! The way he walks in the end is melancholic yet strong. love it. Like he is disappointed by the world...but must carry on.
+destiny johnson I would say this was Damian's song that Nas added some spice to. The song would not have been the same or better if it was just Damian alone. Like popcorn and butter. Not a competition. Two brother complimenting each other.
compared to 100% of the rest of consumer glorified plaque detritus called rap songs these days this is like an encounter with God. the fact is, lyrically they speak of no depth at all about anything just shallow trending concepts computers tell them what concepts to just speak in a rap song. rap is an insult to the type of real music black people used to make (mo-town, blues, jazz) that had soul to it and immersive feeling for all ages, nowadays the music industry is run by white people of course which present black rappers as icons for the black race which glorify everything that is consumer based which makes rap music an insult to the african american race from top to bottom, everything from grandmaster flash to Nas to jay-z, etc. perhaps rap and hip hop music can still serve a perhaps as a kind of transition back to real genuine music that has soul and mood feeling to it, but that would mean rappers would have to lyrically become poets about real issues in the world which is unlikely because they all suck ass in mainstream. why don't underground good rappers with some talent make rap songs about things that need to be spoken about in the world such as sweden rape epidemic, 9/11, the patriot act, GMOs, fluoride in water supply, etc, etc; these are topics that need to be covered, rather than glorifying gold teeth, consumer products run by white people. why do black people fall into the con game trap of rap and hip hop music, knowing how incredibly talented they inherently are musically. if rap music is to be used for a purpose it should be a sort of think tank like dialogue a group has about the important topics, and the last verse should be about real applicable solutions, and the money made from the songs/record label should go to the solutions. if anyone is talented in rap, they should simply learn music production, create their own record label, then run this kind of benevolent enterprise. i'd like to hear someone tell me i'm wrong somewhere in this, and prove to me that rap music serves a purpose other than what i've mentioned.
WewillcollidE1 there's no problem with rape in sweden i live here and the whole thing has been exagurated af Sweden is fine it's one of the best places to live on erth sorry for bad english
are we born unknowing or are we born knowing all? deep ass question. we come out of the womb with our innocence lose it as time goes on then strive to be pure again. I heard that the scriptures said in so many words that babies see things we dont. man thats definitly something to think about.
You are born with zero knowledge that's why you are innocent at first and later on you lose it cause you learn everything about the world and environment shapes you into what you are. I wouldn't say that we are born knowing all (if what you mean by it is DNA), cause the information stored in us is not complete, it is still limited, it's just pieces of our ancestry. You don't even know life other than our if there is any. Maybe there is a bigger picture we can't comprehend yet. The universe is a complex thing and talking about absolute truths is nonsense.
I'm 12 and I understand all the words they're saying, it's good that we still have rappers that speak the truth and not just rap about ass and money, it's good that everyone isn't brainwashed by society cause at the end of the day, who's really gonna save us, the clueless or the genius that's not blindfolded? (THINK ABOUT IT)
Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders but keep in mind GOD is the one who make us as we make up "THE WORLD" not plural we as indivisuals are responsible for what we put out and take in, however everyone has a purpose and there is no suck think as a dum or idiotic person on this earth we are what we eat and stay elevated and remain teachable mental repression would go away but reveal strength .....think about that hun!
People who have been conditioned to accept a false Truth will always hate the real Truth. 1. The more Melanin you have the closer you are to the Universe / Creator 2. If my people were enslaved to build things such as the pyramids, well id make sure my future generations are not in the similar situation and i would create a System that safe guards that. Lastly If i knew for a fact that the first man created by the creator is the only man who is guaranteed a place by his side then I would create a Haven on earth coz that's where my soul will be forever.
+Athi Koloto why would you say that more melanin= closer to creator? your just a hypocrite trying to chase away other hypocrites too. don't pollute the minds of the youths. a rastaman is no racist
