Amazing track, even more so when you know that it was produced by a 17-year-old who had won a contest to produce a song for Nas. This and Deja Vu should have been on an album!
"The ghetto is my garden of Eden So I keep bobbin' and weavin' It's intense so I'm hardly breathing K-O, and the winner is Nas, that's how the scene ends." 🔥🔥🔥
nas said it right in still matic. 'last real nigga alive". people think a lyricist is ll in complex words and punchlines. to a degree the cleverness in how you deliver words is a display of lyrical ability but the word lyrical means emotionally connected or attached to life. Nas is the only lyricist left that actually defines what lyrical means. This is why he said hip hop is dead. because lyrics died long before he said it. One love 1606 Certified!!!
This is legit like watching a film. The way Nasir can paint a picture with the words. The way he puts the sentences together. Just unbelievable. For sure the GOAT 🐐 Undisputed, unchallenged, pound for pound greatest to ever do it.
EM IS GREAT BUT NAS IS OTHER LEVEL, 20 YEARS IN THE GAME,REALEST CATALOGUE,DOPE FLOWS,UNDISPUTED WORDPLAY.... ..."NAME A RAPPER THAT,I AIN'T INFLUENCE.."
One of my idols. Favorite MC. 2Pac Nas Raekwon Royce Da 5’9 In this order... But Nas is one of the greatest of all time. Definitely a permanent on the Hip Hop Mount Rushmore.
Nas + C Sick sampling Ultra Nate makes this track legendary. Two polar worlds reflected in the emcee and the beat. Then comes the intro....and a tale of the continuously examined dichotomy which he re-examines throughout his music- Being in between worlds. The lenses continue to flick: the Queens perspective vs the Manhattan perspective and then approaches it globally and then universally.
The ghetto is my Garden of Eden so I keep bobbing and weaving it's so intense that I'm hardly breathing KO and the winner is Nas that's how the scene ends Dope Shit
Nas is not a rapper....No Nas is a real poet, or rather...A teacher! The only one to keep shit real today! I stand by that, and even if it's 18,000 niggas, it's still 18,000 niggas who know true hip hop!
This song is simply Dope! It made me think and ponder. Because I keep playing it and I noticed something new a few times. The life of the famous, I could only imagine must be Exhilarating and exhausting both the same. Especially when going back to where you started from. Because it’s who you are and where your going to choose to stay...it’s almost like you will feel misplaced despite of the Riches and luxurious. So my question is, ‘Is it really worth it?’ NAS 🤴😎❤️
wow... that put into words would i have thought so many times. like biggie was able to words together in ways no one could and could think of the craziest shit to say. and someone like pac would say shit that was deep in terms of meaning. but nas does EVERYTHING perfectly. if you look up lyricism, you really should see his picture
Capiche, Capri style, its on beaches and islands Far from police sirens... at least for a weekend then its back to the streets creepin Id like to make a free toast of champagne on behalf of this nigga speaking Add a splash to the Seagrams Roll the hash for my world renowned goons this evening NAS flow >
@InfamousAct when he speaks on his personal life. Nas speaks on everyones life. Different levels. Everyone can be emotionally conncted to themselves but Nas connects to life as a whole.not a fair comparison
That drake duppy beat made me come back to this. It reminds me of this beat dont know why but it does. I would rather bear that duppy beat as an instrumental or have nas rappin like this over it and just play that and this one after each other back to back on repeat allllllllllllllllll DAY!!!!!!!!0
