That Vernon Family joint from The Lost Tapes 2 slapped hard AF too. Nas is my 2nd favorite of all time behind Rakim. Nas has been a victim of making probably the best debut album in history. Illmatic was so crazy that it was too hard to match, let alone top.

This album solidifies Nas as the greatest of all time and it's not even a contest anymore. For sure he's had his slumps but when he releases good albums, they are REALLY good. And tbh his so-called bad albums i.e Nastradamus and Nasir are better than 95% of the shit that's been released in the history of hip hop music.

Yo great review guys…..This album was a great project and for me who loves bars The Truth is vintage Nas where he goes back to Lost Tapes It Was Written. The 2nd verse on The Truth is probably Nas best verse in about 10-15 yrs. It’s incredible how he is still a master lyricist after all this time.
