Nas never ended Jay-Z's career but he did win! Sometimes, the greats have to take an L & Jay lost because Nas came at Jay like no one else did & said things about Jay that N*ggaz felt. Jay was to much of a titan & Nas was a Warrior. Classic!
Nas is a real one,he's been da same guy his whole career and still got rich without compromising, can't say the same about Jay,and everybody including Jay knew Nas won da battle
nas my fav mc and 2nd fav musician of all time. and there has been times I wanted diff type of music but I love I love I love that he does shit different and follows his own path and not just a path to sell records
Legendary Man...in my personal opinion the best to ever do it...with the best story arch. From outrageous classic Illmatic....to It was written triple platinum status....the Trackmasters and The Firm times and the criticism....then returning to battle JayZ and release Stillmatic & God Son....finally the List Tapes are released....then came Street Disciple which was selling alright but wasn't his best work. Then he returned with three interesting, diverse LPs, Collab LPs....and he started investing in his business.... Now he is financially independent, never completely sold out, still is one of the absolute Rap legends....and he can literally release what he wants....his Kings Disease Trilogy are slowly considered classics that still will be playable in generations to come. And a hardworking lyricist that has an incredible output....some of his Fans follow him religiously.... This German American dude right here has listened when NaS demanded on "Get yourself a Gun" to buy his entire collection....and while I listen to 2Pac,Eminem, Biggie and much of the modern Chicago Drill stuff.... Nothing compares to the almost "Audiobook type Storytelling" style NaS has while also having the best voice to rap and being able to do ANY style of flow, wordplays and beat styles...
The Best at story telling.like many but NAS carved out a identity for himself. Plus put together the "Firm" "Bravehearts".I started rhyming and writing raps because of NAS influence me.Queens for Life.
