No he didnt and barely has still. This song speaks to me about we Americans would love to be law abiding citizens if these tyrants that we gave our power to didnt take away our constitutional rights and freedom. Most Americans rather be criminals because they are being ruled by criminals. Criminal leaders are followed by criminals. White, black, and everything in between. We all hate this. We all hate them. We have nothing to love politically, most us even romantically. Nothing to value, fight for and protect. Our population is 300 millions plus. Our military a scratch of that because who wants to serve tyranny ? Who wants to fight, kill and die for nothing good ?
"...Bitches left me cos they thought I was finished..." I felt that shit harrrd! Especially knowing this was the period when he lost his mum, his career wasn't doing so well and Jay attacked him on Takeover. You can feel the frustration in that 3rd verse!
@@supermonkeycollider Nah, stop with bs. Boomers don't listen to hip hop. Hip hop didnt even officially drop until 1973(HENCE Boomers at the latest date ONLY heard hip hop 9 years after). I guess you zoolenials are trying to say old in muskrat. 💯 of the time you just sound like uneducated morons. The irony of it is, some of these 'boomers' are your own parents.🤔
This song is so deep. Nas is the best conscious rap brother. There's no cussing and no thots showing there ass fr. This song is so true. We need more songs like this
This song puts me into a trance that I can't quite explain it but I feel invincible everytime I feel it in my brain. It's like his voice is speaking to a different part of my brain
NAS is one of the only reasons I know I’m not crazy. I learned NAS in high school. I’m an insomniac. I remember my brother telling me to hurry up bcuz the bus was coming. I said whatever but this video literally gave me life... NAS I got one love on my arm...
They don’t make rap like this no more shoutout to nas now these the type of rappers us 80 babies listened to growing up sometimes you gotta go back to roots back to basics!!!! 💯😎✊🏾🙏🏾
@@DracoPadilla I'm a Tupac Stan all day, have been my entire life....but Pac and Nas sampled a couple of the same tracks....and they both do justice on them....Nas is special the same way Pac is he just has a different personality...he's not as outspoken....and Pac knew it that's why he really never wanted beef with Nas. They definitely had a mutual respect for one another.
“My n*ggas roll up shooting from wheelchairs” This is one of my favorites from Nas. It was raw and could’ve been acapella if he wanted. Simple beat and just a lyricist doing his thing.
Say no more.... Thank you for your music.. I can feel and visualize you're work and music.... Meaning is truth and you tell it so well... I will always be grateful for NAS...
I’m now 36 I didn’t think very much about this song back back in jr high but now omg years later I put the pieces in place and all made since I felt this song made me almost tear up🥹
I was born 2003 and I’ve been tryna get into hip hop heavy. Lately I’ve been onto NaS. I started with Illumatic and Stillmatic (Ik not in order) but I can honestly say. Stillmatic is my favorite album of his and my favorite album as of right now. This song along with “Every Ghetto”, “The Flyest,” “Rewind” and “Your Da Man”. But “One Mic” man. It’s something different. To The Beat, the lyrics, the dramatic piano towards the end. One of the best and my favorite rap songs ever!
Jesus died at age 33, there's thirty-three shots From twin Glocks there's sixteen apiece, that's thirty-two Which means, one of my guns was holdin' 17 Twenty-seven hit your crew, six went into you. One of the best lyrics. Still listening in 2022.
