I really like your videos! At 10:53 in your video, you showed the Solar Dynamic Observatory's video of Sunspot region AR 12192 (2192), which was actually on the solar surface on October 24, 2014. Over several days in October 2014, AR 12192 (2192) produced six X Class Flares: It spit out: 1.) X 4.58, 2.) X 2.96, 3.) X 2.88, 4.) X 2.39, 5.) X 1.58, and 6.) X 1.5. This sunspot group occurred in Solar Cycle 24 (previous cycle) and traveled across the Sun's surface 6 months after Solar Maximum in Solar Cycle 24. Solar Max for Solar Cycle 24 occurred in April 2014. Its common for some of the largest sunspots and flares to occur after the Maximum, which is the case with 2192. And, AR 12192 (2192) very well may have been the largest Sunspot group for Solar Cycles 23 through the current one, Solar Cycle 25. As of yet, the largest sunspot group produced by Solar Cycle 25 seems to have occurred in May, 2022, and it was Sunspot region AR13014 (3014), which was measured around 1190 MH. For comparison, Sunspot region AR 12192 (2192) in your video was recorded at 2750 MH, which is over twice the size of anything that Solar Cycle 25 has produced. Further complicating the state of Space Weather, the Wilcox Solar Observatory made this claim on their website: The SC25 solar max may already be in the past as the 365-day smoothed solar flux peaked on June 27, 2023. So, Solar Max for Cycle 25 may have already happened. But, it is a wait and see to get conformation on the Max. Thank you for all the work you do on documenting all the new rockets.

Apollo didn't have to worry about how lunar sand blasts around. It is so cool that we are serious enough about a lunar base that we are getting data for planning. The lunar lander fuel gauge technology sounds cool. All Apollo had was a stopwatch estimate. Landing with only 15 seconds left of fuel on Apollo 11 was a real nail biter. I wish Starship had a better abort capability on launch and lunar landing.

One has to wonder why fuel tanks on landers do not utilize a “piston wiper” system in a cylinder style tank… as with a hydraulic ram type cylinder. Regardless of gravity or motion, the piston would force the fuel to the output line.

My comment is about your video one year ago related to establishing a lunar city. Three issues can be resolved using in situ resources. Baking the lunar rocks at high temps could liberate oxygen and metals for making tools and glass, as it contains mostly oxygen (O), silicon (Si), iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), aluminum (Al), manganese (Mn) and titanium (Ti). This (1) produces oxygen, (2) reduces the payloads required, and (3) the glass and plastics for a dome, which of course would need new tech to insulate and polarize to protect from radiation. Similarly for Mars. We would still need to bring food, machines, and hab, but it would be a lot easier. One way to think about this is to watch the "Gold Rush" TV series, where miners must bring all they need to the bare and remote Yukon, habs, food, machines and spares. But if we can use the native resources for water, oxygen, and metals, that should be the bulk of the resources.

The IM-1 Odysseus lander has a payload of 100kg, and that ain't much at high launch and transport costs. Get the impression that NASA still sticks to the known SF idea of a base on the surface of the Moon - that won't happen due to the high radiation of 500 mSv/yr, forcing a rotation of the crews every two months to avoid severe health damages. Much better to establish such a base ca 10m deep inside of a lunar lava tube at constant -7°C and earth-like radiation and thus crews that rotate every six months to be effective teams. That's what the Chinese CNSA intends.

PACE mission suffered all sorts of problems long before Trump was in office. NASA had to cap the program overruns in 2014 as the program was struggling for years. You can see why it was attempted to be cancelled due to this so funds could be steered towards Artemis. However, NASA was able to finally get it going and I hope it does well.

One issue: The Moon has no environment. It's a dead world. It does have geologic features, which is what landers can modify.

The fuel gage is a waste, all one needs to do is simply meter the fuel flow out, subtract that from the amount filled in the tank, and then you know how much is left. Duh!!! My 63 year old VW Bug has no gas gage, and i simply calculate the remaining range by how many miles i driven since the last fill up.

That was not a HUGE flare ya'll.. shortwave radio bounces off the Ionosphere so many M & X class flares mess it up for very short periods. An impact of X20+ is a tech killer
