Nice driving! Le Mans is crazy, but watching you drove the ZL1 was even crazier! I suggest trying it again with the C6 ZR1. If its set up right, it can be a beast. Its kinda sketchy like the ZL1, but it handles a bit better i think. Its definitely my work horse in my collection in GT7. Great video!!
By allowing the Nascar Cup car to compete in the 24H of Le Mans, it allows WEC to have a test bed for basically next year new LM GT3 class. And other brands like Ford is bringing the 2024 Mustang GT3 spec for the 24H of Le Mans. while the bulk of the race track is almost flat out, those heavy braking zones like the Chicane Daytona and Chicane Michelin put tons of strain to the brakes and you suffered brake fade. The Le Mans spec Nascar used Carbon ceramic rotors and brake pads to fight brake fade, it also allows them to save unsprung weight from the switch to steel alloy brake rotors. Body style wise it indeed supposed to be the ZL1 1LE but the Nascar uses a 5.8L NA V8 engine unrestricted puts out 850 horsepower and 10,000 rpm. But they def detuned it and reduced the rev limit to make the engine last longer. I followed a guide to make money for Le Mans WTC 700 and the cheapest car to run the event based on his suggestion is the Camaro SS ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dN69xE3xLcE.html I going to try the event with his build.
They could have been ahead of all the GTEs, but unfortunately, the transmission system had some issues halfway and needed repairs. Nevertheless, they still managed to complete the task beyond expectations. They had initially anticipated being at the bottom of the list.
As a trailer trash American, there’s something very appealing to me about the Camaro. I’m not even a car or racing fan, but I’m a fan of America. This car, or the car you’re basing this on, likely added many thousands of eyes to Le Mans that otherwise wouldn’t have been there.
Yes, I did :) Sorry didn’t show it in the video I mainly changed the suspension - made it a lot stiffer, added a bit more camber, lowered the front end a little bit. Then also changed the LSD settings to minimize wheel spin as much as possible
