I’m with you 💯. I literally shed a tear when he said Jeff your little boy has done it. Doing what his uncle and dad did. The man is a master in his craft!
Amazing call at the end. I’m not even a Harrison Burton Fan and he had me fighting back tears. Simply amazing. NASCAR needs to pay this man what he wants to keep him in the booth!
It's a superspeedway. Anyone can have a great finish if they just survive. See also: Daytona 500 champion Derrick Cope, perennial back marker start & parker
In my eyes Leigh Diffey did an outstanding job on commentary, he is much better than Rick Allen and his excitement last night seemed very genuine. You could tell even he was enjoying the moment.
Like him or hate him, but diffey is very knowledgeable about thos sport, as well as other sports. And he didnt miss a beat or sllrimbke over his words. Love that guy!
I wish there was a better TV angle....I wanted to see that closer and you are 100% correct. I'm just happy that Kyle was in contention....he's been in 18th place all year before his car gives out or wrecks...
Daytona never fails! So glad that Berry walked away from that wreck without a scratch. Busch chose to push Burton over the double yellow at the end of the race, so he needs to be penalized for it. Congrats to Burton!!!
Great race! It would be so cool to have NBC bring Leigh Diffey on as lead NASCAR announcer full-time. But I must say, I think it would've been cool for Jeff Burton to have called the final lap and his boy's first career Cup win
@@skeleguns10oooooo10 when because I saw Busch forced him to go find and block stupid. Busch would be penalized for trying to advance his position. It does not count if you are the leader
That was an entertaining race. Everyone was racing pretty hard not a lot of cruising in line. Plus some crazy wrecks and an emotional win for Harrison with his dad in the booth.
There is a certain angle when the right front is pointing into the air, that the flat bottoms and possibly the fender wells, are picking the right side of the car up. High pressure on the bottom of car and low pressure on the top. The car is becoming s foil. It was different when the bottom of the car was not flat and slowed the air down too. The good thing thay can come from this, is that the flat bottom, when upside down, is also becoming a spoiler snd pushing the upside car down into the track and keeping it from floating like old cars did. Possibly keeping them out of the stands and fences a little better. But its best if they dont leave the ground at all. And the 200mph barrier we see isnt the issue. Planes take off and land at much lower speeds And then when the flat bottom is exposed even more to the incoming air, it is acting like a flap on a planes wing creating more lift at even a lower speed than usual. The flat bottom they are using to make the bottom of the car streamlined is also helping to flip the car over.
even though he didn't finish top 5, keselowski (and lowkey buescher too) was not playing any games tonight. marched to the top multiple times, led laps, got stage points, and had to deal with the penske cars with no assist
For me, Correy was also a victim of this. Look at his onborad. His rear on the straight looks so unstable. I think Larson behind pushed Lajoie quite aggressively.
So many times watching Jeff Burton with Buddy Parrott at the end of Buddy's career, and thinking Jeff deserved a championship maybe with that #99 hot rod...... Well, This One is for you Jeff, buddy. YEA Harrison !!
Take out half the field, twice in the same race, if you make it through those catastrophes, your odds improve exponentially. Kyle has sucked most every race. Finished second.
That may be so but skilled drivers are always consistent at these types of races. I always see the following drivers up front: Keselowski, Logano, Busch. I may be missing others but it takes a fair amount of time of skill to lead these races or be at the front for long periods of time. Perhaps if the big ones didn’t happen Logano would have won, or maybe if Keselowski wasn’t penalized he would have won.
He's still with the Xfinity Series for the remainder of the year. No word yet on next year. So you can go there if you want to hear him for the rest of the year.
Man that race was fun! I went 2 days ago with my dad, and I got to meet Joey Logano! He's my favorite racer, and this race will stick with me the rest of my life!!
You have to advance your position below the yellow line in order to get the penalty. Burton was the leader when he went down below it so no penalty. He had no one to pass
Nascar is running if not already has this sport. No way that many cars should've been wrecked and no way these plate races should continue to be a first and only win for people. Let big names drive this sport again, and let go of equality with equipment. It's more fun to see talent be the deciding factor week to week.
The least deserving, worst driving, biggest nepo baby in the sport just locked himself into the playoffs after winning due to NASCAR's over-obsession with overtime and manufactured drama... wait this is Richmond’s script... you're telling me it happened again?!
He's a what? How is that different than any of the other family members in NASCAR? You gonna rag on all the Rusty Wallace family, Ned and Dale Jarrett, Dale Earnhardt and his son Junior, the Flock brothers, all the Richard Petty relatives?
@@vidmasterK1 The difference is they didn’t run 25th every week in equipment that was playoff worthy before they got there. You cannot seriously be comparing Harrison Burton to Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty.
What happened to MRN/PRN as NASCAR announcers? Now we got a Robin Leach wanna-be and young guys? I am going to have to mute these videos but that takes the enjoyment out of watching.
What stupidity rule says ‘a driver who pushes another vehicle below the lines may be penalized.’ So where does it show Burton pushing Busch down when it was Busch who should be penalized
That’s the magic of super speedway racing. KB is due for retirement soon anyway and the lack of performance isn’t solely RCR’s fault. Burton drove a great race
great for Burton, but another forgettable race.....boring. WAY too much 3 wide boring racing. You need superstars that can pull away,...and have nots who drop back.
Ignore this troll living in his momma basement 😂 like clearly has to much time to stew in his butt juice to come up with comments like these. Sounds like someone hurt him 😂
This one is the correct call. Busch pushed Burton down below the double yellow. So Busch almost got penalized for shoving a driver below the double yellow, but thankfully he didn't.
Burton was the leader when he dropped below the line. He didn’t advance his position by doing so. You can run anywhere on the track without penalty as long as you don’t make a pass
Do you even know the double yellow line rule? You have to pass or advance your position while down there. How does Burton as the race leader pass anyone? He has no one to pass to advance his position, silly
